what difference does it really make? if obama can get the health care bill passed and then he can get the legalization of illegal immigrants passed (currently being called "immigration reform") they will all be covered anyhow......

just using common sense tells you that obama, as a politician, is not going to sacrifice a potential positive voting block that would favor him.

Rep. Wilson Outburst Leads Senate Dems to Close Loophole in Health Reform Bill - Political News - FOXNews.com

Quote:
"There were two opportunities for House Democrats to make clear that illegal immigrants wouldn't be covered by putting in requirements to show citizenships," he said. "Both of those amendments were, in fact, rejected."

In the Senate, Democrats in the so called "Gang of Six," a group of bipartisan senators on the Senate Finance Committee which is the last panel yet to release its bill, began moving quickly to close the loophole that Wilson helped bring greater attention to.

"We absolutely assure that those who are here illegally would not get the benefit of any of these initiatives," Sen. Kent Conrad said.
Well, well, well. Now, why would the democrats be trying to close a loophole when they and obama claimed there was no way illegals would be covered?

So Wilson was right as well as millions of other Americans who know a lie when they hear it.

Well, well, well. Fox wouldn't spin the story in any way, would they?

Unless you have ICE agents outside the ER verifying every GSW or half-comatose patient without IDs (yes, there are MANY folks who come into the ER without IDs, that's not something you think about when you feel like you are dying or transported via ambulance), there is nothing in healthcare providers' oaths that specify we deny care to certain segments of the population. I will treat and stabilize EVERYONE who is deathly ill, regardless whether he/she/it is white, black, blue, etc. There just is not time in an emergency situation, many patients are dead within minutes without care, so we triage and treat accordingly. Now go back to your political back and forth while chugging your Red Bull in front of the monitor, while the real professionals do their jobs.

Never realized how many mean spirited people there were in the good ole US of A, huh? A grim reality.

nothing wrong with treating them, but then we need to bill their country of origin for the service. it is idiotic to expect working americans to have to pay for medical care for the people of other countries. if they can send their money back to their home countries, their home countries can pay for their medical care!

Here is a suggestion I think most democrats would go along with. Why not bar code everyone? So when you go to the hospital then they can scan you to make sure you are eligible? This would be a great way for the government to keep tabs on us.

So we do away with our military to pay for criminal trespassers? Please don't run for office EVER.
