Obama was being disingenuous, but Wilson's behavior was disrespectful.
Since Wilson apologized effusviely and in a timely manner, and the President accepted it, there is no reason to dwell on the incident.
There are plenty of reasons, however, to engage in a menaingful debate on the issues. Too bad our politicians seem reluctant to do so.
Except that Joe Wilson has labelled himself a "victim" and exploited the coverage to continue pandering to the lowest common denominator in the Republican party.
I'm glad President Obama accepted his half-hearted apology, though. The President's graciousness should be an inspiration to all Americans.

About 40% of our politicians (i.e., the Republicans) have made it their business not to engage in meaningful debate of ANY ISSUE AT ALL. They have no positions. They have no proposals. They have budgets with no numbers and health care plans with no funding. By their own admission, they have no policies that are relevant to the 21st century. So they work to block, attack, oppose, and obstruct everybody else's plans for a living. This is the level of simple disgrace that a once proud Party has sunk to.
So, your conclusion is, its ok to do it to Bush, but not Obams huh? And as far as "ELO sucking"...i guess you would know all about sucking eh?
You missed the point here jerk off, No one did it to Bush in the halls of congress. I'll call Bush a liar all day long, but not during a presidential address, as I said there should be a certain level of decorum in the halls of congress.

And how many Dems actually even thought of apologizing? This just goes to prove yet again that dems have no honor.
For proper context, remember that Rep. Wilson is a freshman in congress, which means he is not representing the republican leadership.
During Bush's presidency we had the democratic leadership, from al Gore, to the DNC to the democratic party leadership in the congress and senate, and other senior members calling Bush a liar and all manner of names and inferring all kinds of vile things, and the democrats are upset over a spontaneous emotional outburst from a freshman republican.
The truth is that 0bama has lost his integrity with the American people, and only the truly politically ignorant, and the partisan hacks and sycophants have faith in him now.
Edit: Oh, and many of the Marxists, communists and socialists are still clinging to their faith in him.

I will never apologize, know why, because I never called him a liar. He was not the sharpest knife in the drawer, that I already knew when he was governor here. Now as for his VP, now there is a liar, and he will smile at ya while he does it. So, when the dust clears and the many accusations and statements you have made about President Obama are proven to be untrue, are you going to apologize? Why do I think I already know the answer.

All politicians are liars, regardless of what party they represent.
