SO many people, DC police had to close down PA AVE.

Our own people think hundreds of thousands.

Is it any surprise that most of the obama media would wish to downplay the numbers?
"Tens of thousands" was said twice in the little bit I watched, then "our own people THINK. . . "

These are not people trained in crowd estimation, you realize. They never said a hard and fast number.

how many times does it have to be explained to you that the crowd density is not necessarily the same as it was at the inauguration?

in fact it's almost certainly not the same, since the west lawn was set up with chairs at the inauguration.
I understand that - so based on the 300,000 at the same point, cut it in half.

It is almost as crazy as admitting to be a Democrat with the stupid things the Democrat leaders including Obama are doing. I would never admit I belonged to such a moronic bunch of yahoos. I think Independent is the only way to go.

yeah, they had to close down pennsylvania ave because people were marching down it.

70,000 people marching down the street take up a lot of space. they had to shut down streets for a few thousand during anti war marches in pittsburgh.

haha, now it's 2.5 million! i saw 3 million on some right wing blog too. unbelievable.

Neither has any official estimate.

Based on the time elapsed video showing a "sea of people" stretched from the Capitol to the WH, there is no doubt it was well over 100,000. Looking at the Park schematic, could even be as high as 200,000+

240,000

and cutting that in half at least gets you close to a reasonable estimate. i could easily believe 100,000 or so. we'll see. does *anyone* do official crowd estimates in dc anymore? i think i might have mistaken one of those articles about the parks & rec doing one for the inauguration for one saying they were going to do one for this march.

Are you denying it is 2 second time lapse? If not do the math....

For those lefties who could find no reason to have a flag at half staff on 9-12-09 - those are the ones who must have forgotten.

That video/pic of 12 blocks jammed packed with people from the Capitol to the WH - now, who believes all those people would fit in a football stadium.
Except that video doesn't show 12 blocks jammed. It shows 1 to 2 blocks filled at Freedom Plaza, then they move down to the Capitol. It's not one endless stream stretching from Freedom Plaza to the Capitol.

LOL World Nuts Daily unintentionally tells the truth!

Though crowd estimates vary from as low as 60,000 to 70,000 according to ABC News to a high of 2 million by London Daily Mail, photographs and videos of the march and rally demonstrate its enormity.
Tea partiers march on U.S. Capitol
