Hussein just bought us a new Ford and paid fo my gas and telephone bill. I's thinkin he used the money he took from them there rich caveman folk.
The only thing that got you repubs scared is cold hard facts.
50,000 people equals = microscopic fraction of U.S. population.
Thanks to that there Hussein feller.
Gotta go, I can hear Nean Derthal-Bob yellin from his cave over yonder. I's thinkin they want to make me squeal like a pig. Bye-bye now!

Yes, I am terrified. Terrified of the fascist, ultra right-wing Christian theocracy that this nation is slowly heading towards. Looks like we leftie patriots of freedom will have to defend the nation from Christian oppressors yet again.. what is this, the third or fourth time now?

she links to a very fair (right wing) blog post on hotair that summarizes the different crowd estimates. no reputable source has reported anything over 70,000.
Hot Air » Blog Archive » How big was the crowd in D.C. today?
i'll repeat again that 60-70,000 is a respectable turnout and nothing to be ashamed of. hell, 30,000 is a respectable turnout.

I respect the process of protesting. Its an important way of showing your dislike of current government policies. Its been used many many times in the past to move along the political process, by bringing about attention to the cause of the protesters.
What bothers me most about this protest is that, you have a few people in the news that want to overplay it and make it out to be more than it is. It had a very small following, estimates at about 70,000?
Around 25 times more people went to Obama's inauguration. I'm not complaining about the rally, you just have to keep it in perspective. It was a small group of mostly older white americans who basically oppose socialism. They had a poll about how people felt about socialism. People 65 or older are almost unanimously opposed to socialism, but the youth of the country actually favor socialism over capitalism. They were attributing it with the fact that most older americans spent their entire lives hating communism. Where young people only read about it in history books.
There was a post on this forum talking about the problems with the rally's message. While the rally's have attracted fiscal conservatives from all parties, they don't present a plan to address the crisis that is health care. The message is simply "NO, NO, NO". Which could end up backfiring on the republicans who are already seen as the party of "NO".
In fact, did you know that the republican plan that was put forward to lower costs of healthcare, was to make it illegal for companies to provide their workers healthcare benefits. All workers would be required to find and pay for healthcare themselves.

Well there was more than ten and less than 2 million and ifyou square the root rodingum that puts it at 32,986 but the aagramofskotius places it at gubernatorial 47,897.3which inturn unagultates the scrim making it 41, 632 depending on camera angle and water temperature
OK, I did the math....now let's see what the results were.....

Estimates are all over the place. One thing is certain: the turnout was huge. Far larger than the leftwing moonbats thought possible, could ever imagine and easily one of the largest protest rallies in DC history. So poo pooing the massive turnout of patriots is important for the left. They need to discredit any opposition to their treason: transforming the country in to a workers paradise with its monolithic and totalitarian government in full bloom. Just remember: in 1989 a single protester in Tiananmen Square captured the world's attention. It is the kind of regime that protester stood up against the left wing desires for this country.

weren't people complaining the day before that the "left wing moonbats" were overestimating potential turnout? funny how things change.
and by the way, i think that's where this whole 2 million thing came from - someone at freedomworks was watching the news and a report was on abc about the memo from a white house aide saying that 1.5-2 million people were expected. they weren't really listening, heard "2 million", said "hot damn!" and informed their superiors, who announced it at the rally.
i don't know where the 1.2 million "police estimate" came from. i can't see how that wasn't a flat out lie, since it is documented that the police never released an estimate and the 1.2 million number doesn't seem to come from anywhere else. kinda like the lie perpetrated by the first person to take that promise keepers photo and claim it was from yesterday.
i love how some of the people who support this protest have been caught in numerous lies, distortions, and misunderstandings while trying to inflate the numbers, and they keep going on about how the left are a bunch of liars. if it really doesn't matter how many people were there, then why are you trying to inflate the numbers? stick with credible estimates, maybe they'll go up with the parks & rec count, who knows.

The police don't make crowd estimates here.
