Hilarious!! The lefties are so desperate for a smidgen of good news they will even cite that RW, totally discredited, completely biased pollster, Rasmussen.

I'm on the floor over here!!

Taking Rasmussen out of the picture

5 polls prior to the speech
52.2-43.4 net approval 8.8

4 polls after the speech
54.75-41.5 net approval 13.25

It's not just Rasmussen. Other polls are also showing an increase.

Pollster is a poll-of-polls and you can filter (Tools-Filter) out the pollster's you don't like.

Rasmussen Reports - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Democratic Party activists have pointed out that Scott Rasmussen was a paid consultant for the 2004 George W. Bush campaign

John Marshal of Talking Points Memo has said, "The toplines tend to be a bit toward the Republican side of the spectrum, compared to the average of other polls. But if you factor that in they're pretty reliable.

Some have speculated that the reason Rasmussen's polls trend more Republican than other mainstream polls is simply that he samples likely voters

MSNBC does not use Rasmussen polls. Conversely, conservative media frequently refers to Rasmussen, praising them for being the first to ask about a relevant issue or to ask questions that other pollsters do not.

Reports by Slate Magazine and The Wall Street Journal found that Rasmussen Reports was one of the most accurate polling firms for the 2004 United States presidential election and 2006 United States general elections.

Oh noes!

Health Care Reform - Rasmussen Reportsâ„¢

Quote:
Following President Obama’s speech to Congress last week, support for his health care reform plan increased steadily to a peak of 51% yesterday. However, the bounce appears to be over. The latest daily tracking shows that support has fallen all the way back to pre-speech levels.
