The tweet forced the network to issue an apology after the Internet quickly became abuzz over the stunning remark published on the microblogging site

Obama Calls Kanye West a 'Jackass' - Political News - FOXNews.com

Why does a network has to appologize for the words of the president...are they so special you can't forward them on a tweet....

IMO the words are correct to be used for Kanye...but indeed not presidential!

But this president has proven not to be "presidential" at all and btw he thinks he is still campaigning ......

Thank god we can worry about the important issues now that TORTURE and KIDNAPPING and SPYING on Americans isn't in the news anymore.

IMO it wasn't presidential, but neither was stupidly! To me stupidly was worse, since the police wasn't "stupidly", and Kanye is a JACKA$$!
They have to apologize because they violated one of the most tried and true rules of journalism by reporting something said off the record. That's incredibly unprofessional.

So much for off the record...when it is convenient...

I guess the Acorn remarks and tapes were also made "off the record"?
How can I be a hypocrite for approving of an incident I never heard of? Thanks for the assumption though. Very smart of you.

ABC has issued an apology for the actions of Terry Moran.
Quote:
Now, an ABC spokesperson explains to POLITICO what happened:

In the process of reporting on remarks by President Obama that were made during a CNBC interview, ABC News employees prematurely tweeted a portion of those remarks that turned out to be from an off-the-record portion of the interview. This was done before our editorial process had been completed. That was wrong. We apologize to the White House and CNBC and are taking steps to ensure that it will not happen again.

I'm sure you said the same thing when Cheney said "Eff you", right?
