I think I'm really showing off my ignorance here....
Sounds like there's a strong liklihood we're all in interracial marriages, yes?

nationality is not race, so no. i have pointed out the categories of race:
1.(negroid-african(sub saharan, black american, black carribean, black british who have migranted from africa or the carribean.
2.Asian-from the areas i have pointed out and they are of that distinct race
3.European-including white south africans, white australians, new zealand whites, Russians, iceland, canada.
4. Native American Indians-from South America, North America, Central America, and carribean.
5. Hispanics-mixture of indians, africans and europeans in the Americas(central and South America)
I am not sure where you are from so i am not sure why you have not seen people of different races before.

Hispanics, btw, are not a separate, legitimate race. Hispanics are of Spanish-speaking origin, neither a race or a clear nationality, unless stated by census data, i.e., Mexican American, Cuban American.
In Spanish speaking countries, generally, race is moot, class is all.

You would be marrying a person of Mexican nationality, of Hispanic ethnicity, and of probably mixed race - caucasian (white), mongoloid (asian), and negroid (black) .

Yes.

No. A light skinned person like you (caucasian) is of the same race, no matter their nationality or ethnicity.

Assuming by 'dark skinned', you mean 'not caucasian', then yes, that's interracial.

Race is mostly a biological thing. There are different opinions on who's what, but one way to look at it: Caucasoid (white), negroid (black), australoid (Aboriginal australian), mongoloid (Asian).
Ethnicity is a cultural thing, with race as a factor. When someone says "Hispanic", for example, they could be describing anyone who is descended from the Spanish - but that person could be black, white, asian, or a mixture. Arabic, Hispanic, Slavic, SE Asian, Native American - they are all groups to describe similar cultures. They can be spread across different countries, and composed of multiple races.
Nationality - is obvious. You are a citizen of Japan, France, Chile, Egypt.. etc.
Does that help clear things up?

I'm from right here in Charlotte, NC. Never lived anywhere else. And, as you can imagine, I have seen several other races.
If this is a bother to you, it's fine to not post.
I'll just let it die.
Thanks to you and OTR for your patience.

alpha, i dont know what you are talking about--i just didnt know where you were from since you didnt seem to know what the racial classifications are
1/ Negroid-originally of African origin(not immigrants like the european colonialists or the indians brought there to do labour
2. Asians-far east and near east, southeast asia and the mongolians and pacific islanders
3. Caucasians-Europeans and european extractions.
I have no idea why you put dont post here, due to me asking where you were from.

Probably if we all took the new gene-code test that was developed recently, we'd all be surprised at the complexity of relationships among races.

I didn't say don't post, I said if it's a bother don't post.
I apparently misinterpreted your post. It sounded to me as if you were getting a bit impatient. You know how easily emotions get juggled in the static type.
Also, if you look in the upper right hand corner of each post, it states where an individual is located, if they've entered into their profile.
Didn't mean to offend you.
