you're not supposed to call people names, but nothing stops you from agreeing with the poster above you

yes, five films were doctored because these two kids are obviously major con artists with major league video editing skillz..
I bet they are also ventriloquists and have über mind control abilities as well. Why isn't there a tin foil hat smiley in here?

Seems like a pretty illogical explanation.

Maybe both sides thought it was a good organization and the people who worked there were acting in this manner without the knowledge of management and of the politicians who support the organization. Doesn't that seem more logical?

Does the CEO of Wal-Mart go to every single store in the chain, or does he rely on a chain of command structure that can hide the problems on the store level that don't affect the bottom line?
Trying to use logic here is a complete waste of time.

Republicans have their minds made up.

If one ACORN employee was found to be corrupt, then the entire ACORN organization must be corrupt as well.

If one Republican is cheating on his spouse, then all Republicans must be cheating on their spouses as well.

See how simple that is?

Well I am not a republican and the problem is that it is not 1 isolated incident. It would appear to be wide spread. If it is even a fraction as bad as it appears to be ACORN needs to be shut down and its leadership held accountable.

Again, film was doctored, the set-up was viewed as a joke, as the facts show.
ACORN needs your services. Please go to their office with your "facts" and help them out at this difficult time for them.

Acorn is just the bottom rung of the corruption ladder. This will be one of the most corrupt administrations and congresses of all time.

Well, this was supposed to be about voter fraud, but since ACORN- nor anyone else- has ever been proven to have committed systemic voter fraud, but their accusers (GOP) have been CONVICTED in hundreds of cases of voter intimidation going back over 30 years, then the oppo has gotta start playing games.

Hence a doctored tape/tapes, which has been played in a very willing corporate media- freed from being sued for deliberate lies by the holding in Akre V Fox News (2003).

I'd see the ruling in Akre V Fox News for your answer.

I'm not familiar with this. Considering the two folks were independent filmers and Fox only received the hidden camera footage from them, I don't know what Fox has to do with it.

Trying to explain it away as only one instance, as a previous poster did, is nothing more than a lame excuse for what Acorn employees did. As you say, this appears to be widespread within the organization. How wide, we don't know, and may never know, because the story broke before many other offices were visited. We might conclude that Acorn has bad management, since either good or bad practices come down from above according to how management sets the tone and the standards of operation. Bertha is going to be on FoxNews Sunday morning. Might be worth tuning in just to see what she has to say about this whole mess within Acorn.

A doctored film given to the corporate media is a textook case of this.
There are convictions (some based on actual confessions) in several states, investigations in many more. I think they are finding something to tie ACORN to voter fraud...and these tapes reveal that the fraud goes much deeper.
