President Bush had a low approval rating for a reason. He wasn't popular.
Can we please stop that?

Who is talking about approval ratings for Bush or Obama? This thread is about ACORN.

It was stated tonite that the Census Bureau is severing ties with ACORN.

yup, the black woman who heads ACORN tried to play the race card in her interview to defuse the criticism.

ABC finally covered ACORN and old Charlie Gibson said yesterday that he didn't know about them. That makes it sound like Fox has jarred them loose.
It is past time they reported about that bunch.

Investigate, interview witnesses, send in forensic accountants, check the interlocking directorates with the groups associated with ACORN, and PROVE / DISPROVE the accusations.
But if ACORN fights scrutiny and reacts with counter accusations, is it reasonable to assume that they wish the benefits of public funding without the burden of responsibility?

Just like Pastor Wright, defend him up to the day the heat gets too strong

Well the Senate voted 83 - 7 to take their money away. Two of those Dems who voted in the 7 were Turban Durbin and Leahy. What more could one expect from them. That woman that was recently appointed by the Democrat governor of New York was also in the group.

ACORN funding – a Republican philosophy?

Don't dig too deep, nice lady. You may find that they have received $53 million since 1994. That would put Clinton in about as deep as Bush. In fact, those two simpletons agreed that Americorps should determine who gets all that money that is appropriated for the things ACORN gets it for. Maybe we need to start at the top and check out Americorps.

BINGO.
Just what they want. They are community organizers who don't want any responsibility at all.
It seems to me that most libs here don't remember about the ACORN group in Houston last winter that broke the locks of foreclosed houses and held back any attempt to keep homeless people out of those houses. If that is not an example of lawlessness, I just don't know what it is. Fox told about it all the way but most others ignored it.

Acorn did more right than wrong.
Atleast nobody died. I know an organization where thousands of Americans died for nothing.
The Repubs are slick sending out spies to bring down this organization. There meger attempts to catch a few bad people. Unfortunately if they had the same zeal about their own party maybe I would have stayed.

I don't watch FOX, but I saw a similar incident aired on a different network.
The black lady who heads ACORN was even promoting militant action by blacks if it came to eviction.
She was comparing the evictions to the civil rights movement and stated militant action on the parts of blacks back then was justified and militant action to fight eviction by blacks today was justified also.
Quite the organization !
