Worse, in southern Arizona - carelessly tossed cigarette butts cause fires here. Much of the year, the grasses and brush along the sides of the road are so dry, we have "Extreme Fire Danger" signs. And STILL people throw their lit butts out the windows!

cigarette butts are biodegradable.

not that throwing them on the ground is ok, but if they're properly disposed of they will biodegrade, unlike plastic bottles.

Anyone who knows me knows that I am so anti-anti-smoking that I border on pro-tobacco.

However, I have no disagreement with enforcing littering laws. For me it doesn't matter if it is a cigarette butt or the wrapper from some overpriced Whole Foods granola bar, your ass have a ticket printed out.

Although, I would be lying if I said that I never litter.

Mostly true.

Cigarette butt are mostly made out of cotton and paper. Although there is also a plastic component that does take centuries to degrade.

So when they die early from smoking, you won't have to pay the extra 30 years or so in social security payments for an old person who does not contribute to society, but just receives payments and benefits from you as a taxpayer. Sounds like a push to me. So maybe you should get off their nuts, you think?

THis just out of hostility to smokers. This is simply out of hatred. There is no rational basis. Imagine if they banned clothes that only homosexuals wore. it would never be allowed.

THis is hatred directed towards a group of people, yet libbies will ignore that fact.

You know your hero smokes right?

So according to you Obama should not be able to smoke anywhere. Just about everywhere he goes is a "public place."

Sorry B.O. you are out of luck.
