Well some of you will argue with me about this title for this man. Some from pure politics and some because of who bestowed the title on him. Anyway I agree that he may well be just this. Oh, I forgot that the source is not what many of you would accept, also.

Few politicians are statesmen. A statesman rises above party politics. Joe Wilson, like most, is an opportunist thinking for the short term and schmoozing with lobbyists.

No, Joe Wilson told the truth and the lefties went to work on him with the race card and I think he meant only to speak the truth without any thought of race. You people are all the same where this whole thing is concerned. Did you read the whole article or just see the part about Joe Wilson? I bet I know the answer and it involves how well you keep up with what is really going on.

A statesman would not have screamed out "You lie!".
A statesman would have said "You are mistaken. There is a loophole in that 300 page bill allowing illegals to buy health insurance. We can close that loophole with one sentence."

If my wife says its going to be sunny tomorrow I don't scream "You lie!" but say that I disagree and why.

Closing this loophole means that everyone buying health insurance, including "real" Americans, will have will have to produce a long form birth certificate, passport, or green card. Short form birth certificates, driver licenses, and SSN numbers are not proof of eligibility.
