No, girl it was some Miami residents I saw talking about Sanchez. I grew to hate the SOB before I was allowed to watch Beck on Fox. Sorry, but he is not what you think except to other lefties like you.
Why are you attacking the messenger? FOX lied, and you are upset because someone dared to point it out? Why?
But you watch all those other channels and never Fox. How would you expect to hear about all those things when you watch MSLSD all the time.
You are quite mistaken. Unfortunately I am forced to watch Fox a lot. The Socialist who lives with me puts it on every day. This morning I chose to watch O'Reilly. I watched Fox News a lot more back during the Bush years than I do now. It was really interesting to watch Fox News then switch to Al Franken when Sundance Channel replayed his Air America radio show every night. The difference in quality, content and intellectual level -- Franken over any of the Fox commentators, of course -- was amazing....except for Franken's "comedy" skits. His comedy was awful.

Don't know who those "Miami residents" might have been, but one thing I know is that a Cuban American who was a "lefty" socialist in Miami WOULD NOT be a news anchor on any TV station in Miami very long. Sanchez was a news anchor on a FOX news station in Miami for YEARS.
So, roy, can you provide me with any more substantial information about those "Miami residents" who were talking about Sanchez and exactly what they said? Were these television interviews? Huh? Or were they emails from friends in Miami? Or on the Miami Herald forum?
Ok, if that's what you meant, though from your comment that someone "got their information wrong" and "goofed" I thought you meant it was an accident, not that they knew what they were doing and made an error in judgment type of mistake. Didn't mean to put words in your mouth or read anything into it, seemed pretty straightforward to me. Guess I was wrong.
No problem. Yeah I probably could have worded that a bit better. Heat of the moment posting kinda thing I guess. My bad.
Thought I'd come back to the thread to see if any Fox sheeple have commented on the lie. Not surprised to see that they are still ignoring it and danming Sanchez.
As a registered Independent, I forced myself to take a neocon language course. For the Fox sheeple, I'll translate the topic of the thread,
I'll even summarize it since you don't like to read facts:
Couple worked for FOX.
Couple refused to air false information in news story.
Couple fired by FOX.
Couple sues under Florida whistle-blower law and won a settlement.
FOX appealed and won based on FCC policy against falsification that FOX violated was just a policy and not a "law, rule, or regulation", and so the whistle blower law did not apply.
in right to work disputes, it does not matter if your boss tells you something which turns out to be right or wrong, it matters if your boss has the right to tell you to do your job.. PERIOD..
Indeed Fox has a right to tell a reporter to report.. Anyone who reads into this that the information was a "lie", is clearly misreading the legal information. They claimed they have a right to "lie", they didnt claim the information was one, they only claimed that IF IT WAS ONE, that she still would have to report it as one as a function of her job..
btw, on wikipedia, In 2004, Fox filed a US$1.7 million counter-suit against Akre and Wilson for trial fees and costs. Akre and Wilson both appear in a major portion of the 2004/5 critical documentary, The Corporation.

Why the ad hominem attacks on the reporter? It doesnt matter who reported it -- you could have found it out for yourself if you'd wanted to know. The facts are that Faux lied like a rug and you all had to be apprised of it.
I dont know how long this has been going on, but when Ive watched Faux lately I notice a banner appears at the bottom of the screen when one of its talking heads starts opining -- it says "[Something] Commentary". I'll bet that wasnt voluntary on the part of mgmt - maybe their lawyers suggested it as a safety net.

Anyone know the outcome of such lawsuit?
"After three judges found in favour of Akre and Wilson on six separate occasions, their rulings were overturned by an appeals court. In 2005 the New York Times reported that 'after an appellate court overturned a ruling in favor of Ms. Akre, the couple paid their former employer at least $150,000 to cover legal fees.'[4]"
