My Thread Was Created To Warn Parents (accuse, Sacramento, private school)

Have some of us lost our freedom to express our feelings, in an open way? Some of the homosexuals here, seem to have all the freedom they want to say very hateful and insulting things. They constantly insult, make fun, and belittle anyone who disagrees with them.

I do not think it is very nice of you to accuse me of spreading hate, when I quoted the worldnetdaily internet newspaper. The thread titled "Ban On 'Mom' & 'Dad' Considered Again In Calif." was a quote from that newspaper.

The thread was created to bring awareness to the parents of California, about the powerful agenda of the homosexuals, and that they are telling Sacramento to make a law that would have parents tell their children something morally different than what some parents want to tell their children. Is that a "hate" thread, like you said it was? If I warn parents that their is pending legislation in Sacramento that concerns California school children, is that a hate thread?

Same thing with the homosexuals and The Boy Scouts Of America. The homosexuals want to get rid of the Boy Scouts, if they choose to not believe what the homosexuals want them to believe. This scares me! And I have every right to fear the power of the homosexuals. I never said I hated homosexuals. I just want them to live and let live, but they will never be happy with that.

You said the thread I created from a quote titled, "Alert! Ban On 'Mom' & 'Dad' Considered Again In Calif." was created in hate. No <edit> it was created in fear of the powerful homosexuals, who refuse to live and let live, and instead choose to interfere in private lives.

I personally fear so called Christians more than I do gays...but I understand where you are coming from.

That is why I said "Some of the homosexuals here, seem to have all the freedom they want to say very hateful and insulting things."

Not all homosexuals are out to convert. They feel just like me.......Live and let live.

Deleting your thread was a good idea. The discussion was not backed by any facts, only a wildly misleading propaganda piece. Nowhere in the proposed bill does it involve telling parents what to teach their kids, or anything about removing "Mom & Dad".

Problem is all schools have some sort of agenda or bias...down to private, Christian, public.

Parents should be able to have some input on what their kids are taught, but I'd prefer for parents to do that via sending their kids to private school.

I wouldn't have removed your post even though I found it at odds with my views. I think it's helpful for people who disagree to attempt to understand one another.

Having said that, I can't help but point out that your post above used the phrase "the homosexuals" repeatedly, as well as "them" and other such objectifying language. You may not be aware that this wording presumes there's an "agenda" agreed on by "the homosexuals". But that's the way a lot of people are going to read it, and it's not a stretch to read it that way in my opinion. We (human beings) are primarily individuals, not primarily members of some group or other, no?

As someone who's had a post removed from this bbs, I can understand your frustration. But as somebody who's read the posts in question, I'll share with you that I find your posts on this topic just a tad disingenuous.

By the way - (just to confuse things further )
The Boy Scouts wouldn't have me either. And it had nothing to do with being gay (I'm actually happily married now - to a woman... ) But I simply decided it didn't make sense for me to get too bant out of shape for being refused entry to a group with was not designed to include me in the first place. The BSA is a PRIVATE organization. A somewhat misguided one, but a private one nonetheless...

Let us know how the legislation does. If it passes in the form you outlined, I'll eat my hat

I wouldn't call it an agenda. An agenda implies that it's organized. Most people are just sick of hearing religious people whine about this and that. We get it. You don't like people who don't live according to your book. Enough, already.
