Sag believe it or not I actually enjoy your posts and more often than not learn a thing or two from them.
I agree with you that the right wing media embellishes, and misleads the viewer in an attempt to push their own agenda.
Can anyone honestly say that the left doesn't do the same thing?
The operative word is honestly.

The operative word is "daily", as in how often the right-wing media make stuff up. Manufactured outrage over lies and misrepresentations. This is what they market to consumers.

I remember ALL networks playing McCain accusations of "MASSIVE VOTER FRAUD" about ACRON already in September and October last year. And at that time even FBI was looking into it and found nothing. It was all over the news, so why are the Beck followers crying about the media not talking about until now .
They talked about it way before him, and now just because he finally woke up and started talking about, suddenly means that everyone has to talk about it again? ? What's up with that guy? Why didn't Beck talk about it when everyone else was talking about it and when it was still fresh news?
The Glenn Beck cry-team needs to go back a year and read the news articles from 2008.

Finn, I will soon post some stories that will be very hard for you and your buddies to refute. In fact so hard that only attacks of the messenger will be seen, with no refutation at all. Well maybe something from Media Matters or some other Soros owned site.

Now, political analysts say this is largely driven by conservatives longstanding distaste for ACORN but that President Obama’s history as a community organizer is one reason this story is getting so much play, Meredith."
And so right she is!
After an unsucessful fishing expedition to find voter fraud, and finding NOT a single case of proven systemic voter fraud by ACORN, or anyone else, and in the way of return karma showcasing that hundreds of PROVEN cases of voter disenfranchisement and intimidation have been PROVEN against the very people who were trying to find ACORN "guilty", Fox got a camera crew to doctor some tapes that have ZERO to do with voter fraud, and are designed to smear ACORN.
Mindful that the ruling (2003) in Akre V Fox News removes ALL sanctions against the media for lying- and by way of that slander- other corporate entities, eager (for tax reasons) to see the still-sinking GOP get some power somewhere have decided to aid Fox in its smear campaign.
Very predictable.................
|
Actually, there have been PROVEN cases of voter fraud by ACORN, and many more indictments.
Do you have proof that Fox's camera crew doctored the tapes. You're making some pretty serious accusations - I'm sure you have the proof to back them up?

Oh goodie, playing the racist card. Saul would be proud.

because now nothing says they can't.
Are you familiar with the holding in Akre V Fox??
It says the media can LIE for financial reasons.
That's what all this nonsense is about.
|
PROOF please - you keep spewing these accusations - do you have some sort of inside scoop? Do you work for FOX? Or are the little aliens giving you the information?

Go back and read the ACORN articles from last year before hailing Beck for "exposing" them.

Another Mea culpa from the "paper of record". How many does this make? Van Jones, the NEA now Acorn?
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/09/27/op...er=rss&emc=rss

But for days, as more videos were posted and government authorities rushed to distance themselves from Acorn, The Times stood still.
|
Quote:
|
Some editors told me they were not immediately aware of the Acorn videos on Fox, YouTube and a new conservative Web site called BigGovernment.com. When the Senate voted to cut off all federal funds to Acorn, there was not a word in the newspaper or on its Web site. When the New York City Council froze all its funding for Acorn and the Brooklyn district attorney opened a criminal investigation, there was still nothing.
|
There is a very good reason the NYT suppressed this piece of news - ACORN is inextricably tied to the democrats and obama - any investigation into the corruption of ACORN is sure to do damage to both.
