It is not ridiculous when it is something the insurance is supposed to pay for! a lot of people do. this shows how very out of touch you are.
You missed my point.
I have a deductible on my insurance. It is substantially higher than $50. That keeps the cost of my premiums down.
I have a high deductible on my homeowners and auto insurance also.
Wow. I watched a few minutes of this clip. This guy showed 2 examples. LOLs. And apparently all the companies were punished appropriatley.
Hw many claims were fulfilled that he forgot to talk about? Millions.
And there was a acne drug in the 1980s. It has been shown to cause cancer. And serious birth defects. Think it was called accutane. This may be why insurance comapnies ask about acne. They want to know ahead of time if you took the medication. If you did then your premiums would be higher. If this woman took it and didn't tell them then they should have denied her coverage. I don't know that is what happened. But I wouldn't be surprised.
You know what is sad about this guy? The govt is the one that gave these insurance companies the license to operate in the fiirst place. And I bet thet renew their license when it's time. So the government is also responsible for this.
How many claims must an insurance company wrongly deny before it is recognized that there is a problem?
Also, Accutane does not cause cancer and is still prescribed for acne.
Finally, yes the govt. licenses insurance companies so the government should hold some responsibility also. That is exactly what the democrats want to do, hold the insurance companies accountable. You are on the same page as the democrats on that one.

The dots connect themselves on this issue and yet, people continue to fight on the side of the bad guys. Unbelievable, isn't it?
Mind boggling, IMO.
I'm afraid that the insurance industry is benefiting from ignorance (or as someone else called it "low information" voters) on the part of people out there. Ignorance. And stubborness. Too stubborn to admit when they don't understand some issues, which have been made a bit complicated by the smoke screens the insurance industry have put up. Just say the words "socialism" and/or "government-run" and some people just get up in arms without having a clue!
And as a result of the enormous ignorance, ultimately the insurance industry will win yet again.
we're organizing big insurance: Sick of it rallies in front of health insurance company offices across the country.
Insurance companies make hundreds of billions of dollars every year from denying coverage and denying care, no matter how many people suffer as a result. We'll hear stories of people who have suffered from our broken health insurance system, and we'll demand that the companies stop trying to kill the public health insurance option.

Government should shut down an insurance company the first time they wrongfully deny a claim. Especially if it is life threatening. They don't need reform to do that.
MAybe it wasn't accutane then. I know there was one. I'll see if I can't find a link.
Democrats don't want to hold insurance companies accountable. They want a single-payer system. Obama said it.
