This article is pretty good at updating where the Senate is with revising its healthcare bill:

The Baccus bill, while it has some good in it, doesn't do enough to curb costs.

Right now, its telling insurance companies, we are going to give you a huge influx of customers, but not require you to lower premiums. And it would require people who are lower than 300 percent of the poverty line to spend at least 16 percent of their income on healthcare.

I've been poor, just getting groceries can be a problem, now you want to make me spend 16 percent of my income on insurance I can't afford? That doesn't make since to me.
