Exactly!
The new (because this isn't the first time) claim of global warming/climate change is all about the money. Look how much Gore has made. This isn't something new. Climate Change Timeline – 1895-2009 « But Now You Know

Default Obama Disappoints NBC by "Falling Short' on Climate Change

I guess Obama didn't say enough that the "climate changers" wanted to hear yesterday in his speech. The people at NBC seemed to be very displeased with his failure to say what they were sure he would say. Could it be that now and then he has to be more honest with less campaign sounding words?

If it is really that serious, why don't nations outlaw jets, cars, boats. No more jet-setting around. Stay home and recycle. Oh, no more garbage trucks. I'm serious. If everyone started walking.........well, you know.

Do people really think that scientists who believe that people are responsible for current climate change somehow forgot or were not aware that Earth's climate varied over millions of years?? I can just imagine a conversation:

Scientist: my research shows that emission of greenhouse gases is the main driver behind warming temperatures.
CD forum poster: did you know that Earth's climate varied over millions of years .... naturally? ever heard of ice ages? watch history channel?
Scientist: uhh, errr, yeah good point, you got me there

Unfortunately, most scientists think that mans contribution is negligable. Don't believe everything that Gore tells you

Kind of hurts your party's power grab

See http://www.little-acorn.com/pics/glo...mchart400k.jpg for a chart of global temperatures extending back around 500,000 years.

Keep in mind that most of it occurred BEFORE man was "changing the climate" by burning fossil fuels.... or even breathing very much.

U.N. climate meeting was propaganda: Czech president | U.S. | Reuters

Propaganda is right.

Quote:
"It was sad and it was frustrating," said Klaus, one of the world's most vocal skeptics on the topic of global warming.

"It's a propagandistic exercise where 13-year-old girls from some far-away country perform a pre-rehearsed poem," he said. "It's simply not dignified."

Why do people think those who believe in AGW are following Gore?? Climate change was a major issue even before Gore became VP, let alone made that movie.

And "most scientists" think human contribution is negligible? That's just false.
Scan the list of major American and international scientific organizations from all over the world directly contradicting what you are saying.
