I dont agree with the "posterchild for everything that is wrong" line

but Bill Kristol is in fact a real live dyed in the wool neo-con.

Someone who is both very conservative in social and fiscal viewpoints. A few example politicians/media people:

Sarah Palin
Dick Cheney
Glenn Beck
Rush Limbaugh
Sean Hannity

Good luck trying to win with them. After all, the last election was as much about repudiation of the Bush administration and neoconservatism as it was about anything.

Sarah Palin

Half of Fox News
Sean Hannity
Donald Rumsfeld

If I could wish for 2 things I would be Sarah Palin to disappear.
And for Sean Hannity to retire.

These so called leaders have put a stain on the party of "republican"
Its time Paleo-libertarian's took over the republican party.

Interesting list. Several questions about this list.

1) what political positions make them a neo con?

2)You say half of Fox news is neo con it must mean the other half is not.
Seems to me that is the definition of balanced.

3) If Palin is such a stain, why does the other side choose to attack her and her family. Seems to me if she was such a stain the left would stop attacking her . why do the seem so Palin paranoid?

A repudiation of Bush, that we can agree. Also, the war in Iraq certainly didn't help him.

I doubt it was a repudiation of neoconservatism though, and I really don't think there are many "pure" neocons out there. I think you'll find those who are lumped into that camp by many posters and pundits actually have some significant variances in their beliefs and visions of government programs (social, defense and otherwise).

Frankly, I've always thought the label was overblown, but very effectively used by the Democrats and the media to swing the past election.

well I hope he is not his father and bet he hopes so as well. I am sorry I can't buy what you are saying, but more than that I can't buy the Ops use of the word "HATE" not agreeing is one thing, thinking a certain list of people are responsible for whatever is one thing, hating is quite another.

Palin might be a Neo-Con. I know Bill Kristol loves her. although I doubt it because I think she moves right on issues related to the welfare state.

John McCain has never been a Neo-Con. The guy is more an old school Repbublican. Some would call him a RINO. (Republican in name only) because of several liberal leaning positions.

GHWB not a neo-con. more mainstream old school republican

GWB: Neo-Con.
Cheney certainly is.
Bill Kristol the architect of Neoconism

Beck is NOT a NEO-Con and he might would punch you in the nose for suggesting it. He HATES expanding government.

Rush NOT
Hannity NOT.

Rummy Neo-con

You dont even know what a NEO CON is.

The last election mirrors the 1980 election only visa versa. Anyone who reads much into it other than there was a charming candidate on one side and a less than popular one on the other plus the call for change is living in la la land.
