Michael Moore called out ABC on "Good Morning America" Wednesday for employing "permalancers,"
permanent freelancers who are effectively full-time employees but hired on a contract basis, and thus not extended any benefits.

"I'm talking to employees, people backstage here, they don't get to be real employees here because they don't get the
benefits, so they're freelancers," Moore told Chris Cuomo.

So they freelance. So what. Isn't that their choice? If they want benefits, they can search for a company who offers them though that, in itself, appears to be getting more remote.

I don't agree with some of Wallmart's practices (i.e. encouraging employees to file for Medi-Cal - Medi-Caid) but every one of those people should know what they are getting into. What I really don't agree with is government mandated rules, outside of basic legal / discriminatory ones, designed to protect employees (as in health benefits and other fringe benefits). Let's face it. Most of like WallMart prices and continue to go there because of that, regardless of company policies. We instead call for government intervention. Here's an idea. You don't like WallMart policies and want to send them a clear message? Try boycotting them. The same goes for TV shows you don't agree with. Don't watch instead of calling for censorship.
