Just listen to or think about the words to Imagine by John Lennon. I was just listening to Richie Havens sing it and thought it sounded like Socialism as defined by contemporary political ranting. Hmmmm I then wondered is Heaven more Socialism or good old free market Capitalism. I wonder? If it isn't free market individualism then which side should each side be on in this great American debate?

well, human nature would be removed from the equation, so ANY form of government would work. back on earth, the only one that sort of works is free market.. i wish it were different, but, human nature is human nature.

Thank God heaven will have no partisanship, no political system and no favoritism. We will all just be darn lucky to have made it there.

Forms of government are only needed for man to rule over himself. We will have a benevolent dictatorship if anything. I guess we don't have to guess who will be the benevolent dictator do we?

If its socialism in Heaven, then everyone would go to Heaven because everyone would share in the other person's sin... And we all know, "everyone" doesn't go to Heaven... so Heaven behaves more on capitalist market... one where you PAY for your sins... what they don't have is corporatism.... Please know the difference between corporatism and capitalism...

Using the following definition of corporatism please explain the relevance of corporatism to the discussion. Not disagreeing but readers need to be sure of the applie usage of!
Corporatism - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Corporatism is a system of economic, political, and social organization where corporate groups such as business, ethnic, farmer, labour, military, patronage, or religious groups are joined together into a single governing body in which the different groups are mandated to negotiate with each other to establish policies in the interest of the multiple groups within the body.[1] Corporatism views society as being alike to an organic body in which each corporate group is viewed as a necessary organ for society to function properly.[2] Corporatism is based on the sociological concept of functionalism.[3] Countries that have corporatist systems typically utilize strong state intervention to direct corporatist policies and to prevent conflict between the groups.[4]

Please explain how heaven would operate under Reagonomics as defined!
Reaganomics - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Reaganomics (a portmanteau of Reagan and economics attributed to Paul Harvey[1]) refers to the economic policies promoted by United States President Ronald Reagan during the 1980s. The four pillars of Reagan's economic policy were to:[2]

1. reduce the growth of government spending,
2. reduce income and capital gains marginal tax rates,
3. reduce government regulation of the economy,
4. control the money supply to reduce inflation.

In his stated intention to cut back on domestic spending while lowering taxes, Reagan's approach was a departure from his immediate predecessors. Although his record is still debated, Reagan succeeded with lower marginal tax rates in conjunction with simplified income tax codes, and continued deregulation. However government spending and deficits rose during his administration.

Is the above what will really happen in heaven? Will our Heavenly Father have reduced regulatory authority?

In corporatism there is HEAVY influence of corporations to politics... political leverage from companies... In the example, one could go to Heaven even if they commited great sins like murder, genocide with political leverage... We know that people who commited great sins before death don't go to Heaven... Hence it doesn't work in corporatist way as well...

I like the first part. My problem with the second is that socialism nor capitalism are forms of government.

Just say'in.
