I've never taken a job more than five miles from where I lived. No need to. Plenty of jobs within that five mile radius.

And why is anyone worth more than that?

$10 an hour is an upper limit.

I couldn't live on $10 an hour unless I was sharing a house with 6 other people...which is what I was doing when I was getting paid $13 an hour.

Where I live, it would be nearly impossible to live on $10 an hour... studio apartments start at around $600 and average at near $1000.

Frankly, I think I'm worth more than $10 an hour... Just in September alone I saved our company nearly $8000, so I paid for myself and then some.

Then your housing is overpriced. Heck, MINE's overpriced at $750 a month, but still affordable.

Not really... I live in an extremely beautiful and desireable area so housing prices are higher than usual. Supply and demand etc. plays a large part in that. I can hear the ocean from my backyard and have free access to a very large national park less than 5 miles from where I live. It's worth every penny.

Anyone? Some health care CEO make hourly wages in 6...yes, SIX figures....but you think average Americans can survive on $10.00 an hour....

Yes, walk to work

have no children

shun all responsibility to family and friends (IF there are any)

never aspire to have a decent life

Stay single(no problemo there)

Eat garbage

live in "less than pleasant setting"..(a dump.)

If you like a life like that , I'm sure you're happy....

Why not, it's healthier.

they're responsible for themselves, as I am.

I think I do have a decent life--not spent keeping up with the Joneses.

I've been in several relationships with women who didn't work. Ten so far. I'm sure another will come along.

Maybe in YOUR opinion, but food is food, and it fuels the human machine.

I am--I don't need "things" to keep me that way either.

A person is worth their labor value. In many cases, that is far, far more then $10 an hour.

How could you possibly suggest that a salesman who pulled in 10 million dollars for a business is worth $10 an hour. How about an accountant who saved the company millions?

Even a guy who turned $10 worth of wood, in to $80 worth of finished product in an hour, is worth $70 an hour.

Where do you get this arbitrary $10 an hour figure?
