More Independents Lean GOP; Party Gap Smallest Since '05

I think it has probably been true for years, Independnts lean GOP: there are just many more independents today.

The gap has shrunk a somewhat, however Independents still lean Democratic and the public has a better view of the Democratic Party than Republican Party
