I'm UNION!!! Good luck trying to lay me off. I love my job at the USPS. Who is going to deliver your junk catalogs and packages? UPS? HA!!! We deliver most of their packages for them already. Sure, like any other business there are jobs that could be cut. However, why not throw a bunch of taxpayer money into the USPS. I mean, we are spending zillions on two useless wars, bailing out banks and businesses at the drop of a hat. We spend taxpayer money paying doctors as they abuse medicare and medicaid. Hell, the money given to the USPS is a bargain compared to the other crap that receives government money. Of course I am biased.
BTW, just to pour salt in the wounds and aggravate, I get paid around 8.5 hours a day and no matter how many hours I work, I still get paid for that 8.5 hours. Hell, one week I worked 25 actual hours and still got paid for 43 hours!!! The kicker...I GOT 3 HOURS OF OVERTIME PAY IN THAT!!! Of course, not all area's of the USPS get paid that way. Oh and I pay less than $200/month for family medical insurance and I can go to ANY doctor and any hospital in the nation.
I LOVE MY JOB!!!
Two (main) observations:
1. Somehow you actually think this is a good argument for unions?
2. You are actually proud of being lazy and wasting money (as long as it works for you)?
Awesome!
It's not rubbing salt in my wounds. It's just proving that, when people just get things for doing nothing, they take advantage of it. Why try or work harder right? You'll be taken care of. I will give you this though. You just made some excellent points...just not the way you thought you did.
Sounds like the USPS is the perfect place to be for lazy, freeloading, leeches, sitting on their butts on the taxpayers dime.

And I already said thanks for the bailout. Anywho...gotta hit the sack. Another "long" 5 hour day tomorrow!!!
I'm all on your side!! Good for you! ""The World's Greatest Country" should have moved beyond ""World's Biggest Sweatshop"...
They are all JEALOUS!!!!!
Now, IF you had been some whiney pouty Republican LOSING candidate , quit your job, sat on your butt to make millions having someone write a Roguey book for you they would be kissing your bum...
Ignore the post above yours I quoted...I think Sanrene is talking about insurance/banking CEOs but she just doesn't know it!!
The resident union person is trolling. Even if their story is true, the most comforting thing about it is when the union veil is pierced, as they continually are countrywide. They will be the most unprepared individuals, much like the broke losers who thought house prices always go up. Also, their pension will be fixed income and in devalued dollars.

And doesn't America have fine examples in insurance/banking/Wall Strret CEOS and other executives doing EXACTLY the same thing and being DEFENDED by rightists....
Why do rightists hate their peers and worship the Wealthy?
