Sen. Graham Calls Beck 'A Cynic' And Birthers 'Crazy'

. Lindsey Graham, (R-S.C.) offered unusually blunt assessments of the fringe elements of his party and conservative media on Thursday, calling the popular and bombastic Fox News host Glenn Beck a "cynic" whose show was antithetical to American values.

"Only in America can you make that much money crying," Graham said of Beck. "Glenn Beck is not aligned with any party. He is aligned with cynicism and there has always been a market for cynics. But we became a great nation not because we are a nation of cynics. We became a great nation because we are a nation of believers."

The problem is that can cynics recover from the lunatics that have taken over the debate so far. I hope so, when everyone agrees it's never good.

This is so funny. Lindsey Graham is the biggest drama queen of both parties. Do you remember how publicly hysterical he was after the McCain/Kennedy illegal immigration reform bill was shot down by the public?

By "decent" what you REALLY mean, but are not saying is Republicans that follow lockstep and bow down to Obama.

And Beck has him beat. Seriously, are you defending Beck here, or just fuming on Lindsey Graham?

Funny how just a little rain brings up all the worms.

Sen. Lindsey Graham's top campaign contributor over the past five years has been a legal firm from Sen. Graham's home state (Nelson, Mullens et al).

Lindsey Graham: Campaign Finance/Money - Summary - Senator 2010 | OpenSecrets

Since 2005, this one law firm has contributed $79,491 to his campaign war chest. I wonder what sort of legal work this law firm does?

Oh, look what I found! This law firm lobbies Congress on behalf of big corporations.

Lobbying Spending Database-Nelson, Mullins et al, 2009 | OpenSecrets

Gee, do you think that a big corporation that employs lobbyist from the same law firm that gives so much cabbage to Graham might get special treatment by Graham?

Yes Senator Graham, as long as their are politicians in bed with law firms that lobby the Congress, you'll find a few cynics.

I wouldn't bother looking down the ballot to find them. I would simply vote a strait democratic ticket since it would accomplish the exact same thing.

A battle is taking place in the conservative ranks of the Republican Party with real patriots like Palin and Beck on one side and corporate whores like Graham on the other. The issue isn't what we call ourselves. A Libertarian Party is just a susceptible to corruption as the two we now have. The only difference is a Libertarian candidate will lose and split the conservative vote (See Bill Clinton). The problem isn't parties. The problem is the character of the people elected, and for that, the voters are responsible. As long as retards show in mass to vote for the person who promised them everything but a day of reckoning, the system will never change.
