I'm very pleased for Rio, that they got the Games.

I did not think that Rio would get the Games for the simple reason that the IOC tend to be conservative and they previously had never awarded the Games to
a South American nation.

Well done Rio

I guess we'd all be better off if no one ever put themselves out there trying for anything - because they might not succeed and be a FAILURE!!!
With the state of the US economy the amount of debt we are in. You support wasting our dollars or something we do NOT have to do?

ALl of what you said would be fine if we werent this deep in debt and the world problems going on while he has to wait to deal with afgan. Come on now

Just curious. What has he done since his inauguration that has made your's and the lives of Americans in general, better?
I think the most important thing he's done so far was directing the rescue of the domestic economy from the brink of disaster, though as you know his term in office has only just begun. You could look through this website to get an idea of what's been happening.

Maybe Hugp Chavez should have shown up and lobbied for Caracus.

There always was and always has been politics involved in the Olympics, but I don't think the leaders of nations should be lobbying to get the Olympics in a city in their country.

Surely they could have found a delegation from Chicago to plead the case.
( unless most are under indictment and had their visas/passports surrended)

Personally I cannot believe they have not heard hussein obama was "The One", "The Messiah". This must be a big blow to his enormous ego. It seems hussein obama is on the losing end of everything. Oh what to do, what to do.

I really worry that you want hussein obama to get back to work when everything he does is a detriment to America. He needs a l o n g vacation in prison.
