1) All the idiots who bought into the dot-com boom
2) George Bush / Alan Greenspan for setting us up for an even bigger bubble
3) The greedy real estate infrastructure which capitalized on the situation
4) The even greedier banks who lent and distributed the massive debt [here's where Moore is right]
5) All the idiots (flippers, etc) who bought into the real estate boom
6) All the TV shills who, for reasons of ignorance stupidity or greed, ignored the signs that this recession was going to happen...
7) Democrats and Democrat-lites (ie, Republicans) who make things worse by trying to postpone the inevitable
Did I miss anyone? Believe me, by far AIG is not the only player in what happened, not by a long shot
I will see it sometime, but after watching Moore talk with Travis Smiley, I think he only has it partially right.
By far, the person who absolutely nailed what happened and is happening today laid it all in great detail (Peter Schiff). Watch all of these videos, and you will understand the mechanisms which got us to where we are now. The people who are at fault for where we are now includes (but not limited to):

I didnt see the Tavis Smiley program, but in the Capitalism movie M Moore goes after all the financial corporate culprits involved in the bailout mess. He didnt discuss the dot com boom and bust (your 1), maybe because it wasnt relevant to the key topics and there wasnt time; he paints with a pretty broad brush. Definitely #2, 3, 4 and 5! Interestingly, he doesnt mention any media personalities or their effects on "us" (6); when people see it I'm interested in their theories why. And he goes after plenty of crooked Democrats!
Michael Moore's films are mild, mass entertainment. Their content isnt new or even controversial except to people who arent comfortable hearing other points of view and who have trouble digesting facts they dont want to have to consider. The right wing media have successfully taught their sheep to fear him as if he were Adolf Hitler coming to eat their children, and that is just so sad for this country.
"Capitalism: A Love Story" is a Michael Moore movie that Fox News viewers might like.
Like tea parties and health care rallies, Moore's bullhorn populism taps a discontent among disenfranchised citizens who have more in common with one another than with the demagogues who prefer we believe otherwise

AKA, The Communist Propoganda Film
Funny how Moore made his fortune via capitalism and yet campaigns against that which made him rich.

Absolutely clueless and/or delusional. The tired argument of how Michael Moore "made millions" in a capitalistic environment and should be guilty as charged for said offense.
Folks, it's just another attack from anyone who is against him to undermine his financing ability to push forth an opinion.
Let's have the Republicans take no campaign contributions from anyone whatsoever because we all know that the GOP's principled words are worth their weight in gold in which that alone will get them re-elected. Really, seriously, think about that.
You havent seen it, obviously; why do you try to talk about it?
What's there to see? His other works were filled with lies, fiction, and half truths so why should this one be any different? Besides, he's become what some use to call a "bourgeois communist". He's become rich off of capitalism and has become a member of the bourgeois while still spouting off the evils of capitalism and how it robs from society.
