Republicans have such short memories. I think it's selective memory. George W Bush left the country a stinking pile of poop. These Reps know it too. What kind of idiot thinks Obama can fix W's disasters in less than a year. I hate to tell you, but we will be cleaning up after W for years to come. The man was a plaque on America.

As president, Barack Obama has mentioned Jesus Christ in a number of high-profile public speeches — something his predecessor George W. Bush rarely did in such settings, even though Bush’s Christian faith was at the core of his political identity.

A person's religious beliefs, or not, are none of any one else's business.
It is a personal matter and should be kept completely out of the political arena.

Do you go to church every week?
What church do you go to?
What if I don't like your church?

Religion is a personal matter, not the business of anyone else, especially not the nation.

Oh wow, so this is another thing that you think is "important" enough to complain about? Really, what is it w/some of you? Guess what? My parents are religious but they don't go to church on Sundays. OH NO!

I think a lot of self-proclaimed "Christians" on this forum missed Christ's admonitions of the Pharisees. They seem to think that if someone wears religion on their sleeve and preach it on street corners, they are doing God's work.

Jesus Christ adamantly disagreed with such people in his time. I don't know how they missed that lesson.

Bush belonged to the church of the holy schizofrene. He heard voices, advocated violence against a country far away based on "word from God." He should have been locked in the booby hatch.

Reagan never found a church. Never looked.

Then he has the nerve to call on "religious leaders" to call his health plan a "moral imperative".

He seems to only use church for his political ends. To get elected and then to get bills passed.
So where did President Bush, who you surely must have look up to and richly admired, go to church? At least Bill Clinton did.
