I would take issue with the fact that he has done absolutely nothing.
He single-handedly was responsible for the greatest increase in history for gun sales in general, esp. assault rifles, and ammo of all kinds. Gun show promotors across the nation are deeply indebted to him.
He didn't do anything to cause that. That was the right-wing hysterics.

Ehh, that is only partially true. You are seeing only what you want to see here, it also was painting him as someone who is all talk, no action.
When you satirize public figures, there are key personality elements that you try to capture and expand upon. In Bush's case they made it a lack of independence, though he was like a kid looking towards Cheney for advice before taking action. With Clinton it was the girls and being slick. With Obama they apparently are starting to key in on him being all talk and little follow through.
