Think about that. Fact checking a comedy skit.

I guess they realize people are taking note of the media's dereliction of duty.
I couldn't believe it when I read about this. How pathetic CNN looks.

Please give me some of what you are taking. I would like to twist and spin things in my own head the way that you do and not feel like a total fool in doing so. This way, I could ignore the fact that I'm way behind the eight ball when it comes to finances. I could also tell myself I love going in to work everyday and that my job is fun and that I don't work to live, but live to work. Lordy, there's a whole lot of things that I could believe that aren't true but relish in feeling good about the lies that I could tell myself.

Maybe the next skit could be on CNN doing the fact checking.

I stopped watching SNL decades ago but teleprompter skits would be funny. If they didn't do one, though, when that one teleprompter committed suicide by crashing to the ground, they kind of missed their moment

They've got a gold mine of material on the far left they could use and will probably only hold off for so long before they just say the heck with it. It also helps that the republicans aren't doing anything really crazy presently.

So what if I'm the one who brought race into this conversation? Am I suppose to be ashamed or something? Follow the links backwards to the start of the conversation. While my original comment was somewhat off topic, it was in response to georgia dems' claim to have "proudly" voted for McCain. To repeat myself, either she isn't a real Democrat, only someone who is registered as a Democrat because no real Democrat would "proudly" vote for the candidate of the other party, one whose political philosophy is opposed to what a real Democrat stands for. I asked why she would use the "dem" part of her name on political oriented forum if she wasn't a real democrat, just an independent or someone with no political philosophy. Actually, her use of that name reminds me of the right wing mantra, "I'm not a Republican but...." The only other explanation I can come up with for a real Democrat to vote against that particular Democratic candidate is because of racism. That was more or less an afterthought.

I can bring race up anytime I damn well please, particularly if it fits in with what I'm saying....or in this case, asking. And it did.
Once again an off topic example of your racism and bigotry against all that isn't you. If anyone else had made this type of statement in opposition to your narrow minded beliefs (your stance, if you didn't have time to look up the word) you would be screaming from the rooftops.

After all, if one doesn't agree with you, they must be a liar.

Now , let's all jump back to the repubs FLIP FLOP thread where they rake these Hollywood types over the coals and say we shouldn't listen to their opinions.......LOL!
It's like a big ping pong game...
Travel away from the topic much?

Here's the problem. When people see a lot of major new things trying to be shoved down their throat quickly, they get suspicious because they can relate to it. Think, for example, used car salesman trying to make a quick buck by giving you the fast sell on a lemon. You don't like it. You're suspicious of their motives and most of all, you don't want to be duped into buying something you'll be stuck with for a long time.

I don't like the things Obama is trying to do, and wouldn't like them any better if he did them slower, but from a strategy point of view, the reason people who don't normally pay attention aren't buying what he's selling is because he's trying to do too much, too fast. Like the used car salesman, his rush job is suspicious. When bills are passed that no one has read, when they can't post something so people can read the fine print on something that will majorly impact them, personally, when the President sets timelines (I'd like to see a bill on my desk by)/(we're closing GITMO by), when he's hopping all around in public like Peter Rabbit, trying to do a fast sell on his proposed programs, people think the wool is being pulled over their eyes. That's when they start taking a look at things they never bothered with before. That's when they are also open to suggestion from the other side as to motive. Why is this one and that one jumping on this speeding train? What's in it for them?

Now, from his perspective, again strategically speaking, he's got a Democrat majority in Congress and thinks he has to act fast but, if I may Monday morning quarterback, he should have consulted with a psychologist about public reaction to lots of radical reform being introduced quickly. He may have thought his personal charm would override people's suspicion of his fast and furious sell job but in the words of that guy in the SNL skit - NOPE! He's just another used car salesman trying to dupe them into buying a lemon.

So you consider a skit from a comedy show reporting from the liberal media? Yeah, ok do you also use the candyland gameboard as a map?

Yes the SNL skit is ruffling the feathers of those who actually thought that was Obama talking and didn't get it was supposed to be a joke.

The fact that CNN is fact checking a comedy skit just proves what I've been saying for the past year; the media is catering to crazy people.

Hmmm. How do you explain the increasing criticism of Obama that is coming from his left? There shouldn't be anybody out there according to you.

Perhaps you haven't read very much about him or his times. Mainstream Democrats of the mid-1970's would have included folks like McGovern, McCarthy, Muskie, Kennedy, Mondale, O'Neill, Cranston, Fulbright, Ribicoff, and Symington, and Carter would have been to the right of all of them. Over his entire political career, Carter ran as the moderate alternative to what stood on either side of him.

Lists of accomplishments have been posted. Must have missed those as well. As you may recall, the recession began in December 2007, and the unemployment spiral with it. The one thing that really has plunged since January is the chance that the economic chaos and catastrophe of 2007-08 will propel us over the edge and into a full-blown depression. The sincerity of right-wing analysis is meanwhile typified in claiming that nothing has changed out of one side of its mouth, while claiming that Obama is leading us into socialism out of the other. There is frankly no substance behind ANYTHING that the right wing says anymore. It's nothing but mush, mush, and then more mush.

That's the record your people put up. You've go no standing left to be writing prescriptions for the crew brought in the clean up the horrific mess you made...
