Think about that. Fact checking a comedy skit.
I guess they realize people are taking note of the media's dereliction of duty.

Fact checking a comedy skit?? Wow. Did they fact check Tina Fey??
" I can see Russia from my house"?
Some people really think Palin said that.

Hmmm. How do you explain the increasing criticism of Obama that is coming from his left? There shouldn't be anybody out there according to you.
Perhaps you haven't read very much about him or his times. Mainstream Democrats of the mid-1970's would have included folks like McGovern, McCarthy, Muskie, Kennedy, Mondale, O'Neill, Cranston, Fulbright, Ribicoff, and Symington, and Carter would have been to the right of all of them. Over his entire political career, Carter ran as the moderate alternative to what stood on either side of him.
Did you mean "parallax", by any chance? Haven't you claimed significant scienftific education as part of your background, or have I got you mixed up with someone else.
Lists of accomplishments have been posted. Must have missed those as well. As you may recall, the recession began in December 2007, and the unemployment spiral with it. The one thing that really has plunged since January is the chance that the economic chaos and catastrophe of 2007-08 will propel us over the edge and into a full-blown depression. The sincerity of right-wing analysis is meanwhile typified in claiming that nothing has changed out of one side of its mouth, while claiming that Obama is leading us into socialism out of the other. There is frankly no substance behind ANYTHING that the right wing says anymore. It's nothing but mush, mush, and then more mush.
That would be Manhattan, and I'm currently about 250 miles from there. With the help and encouragement of a new administration meanwhile, this country is currently trying to grapple its way back to its feet after having been laid low by eight abysmal years of total incompetence and unrelenting disgrace and disaster promulgated by a bunch of hapless Republican boobs. That's the record your people put up. You've go no standing left to be writing prescriptions for the crew brought in the clean up the horrific mess you made...
|
Mess I made? Saggy, Bush was a liberal. The "mess" was created by every president since Nixon who engaged in wild spending for social programs as bread and circuses to get re-elected. Your friend Jimmy Carter, Chris Dodd and Barney Frank simply put the match to the gasoline with thier brilliant plan of providing home mortgages to people who could not afford them. Brilliant. True conservatives believe in fiscal responsibility, which has not been practiced by either party, however the Obama Dems appear to have taken irresponsibility to extremes.
Saggy, what will you do when the dollar value falls even further and when hyper-inflation results from all this insane spending? Will you be happy then? Probabaly, as you and the marxists want to bring the US to its knees to make the ground more fertile for marxism. Isn't that part of the liberal/Franfurt Group plan?
I lived through Jimmy Carter. Hell, I voted for him. Jimmy helped teach us the ineffectiveness of socialist policies and weak foriegn policy. Carter made George McGovern look like a conservative. Relative degrees of fiscal insanity does not matter-all the 1970s libs helped to destroy the family unit and create a system for further deficit spending through social programs. They just put the dagger in the heart of the nation after Johnson wounded it.
Thanks for the spelling corrections. I have secretaries do that task for me and have more important issues. In the peer reviewed papers I have published in the medical literature, the secretaries and the editorial board corrected any spelling errors. Funny thing is that they are more interested in content. Perhaps the marxists should learn from that.
Manhatten, Manhattan, Boston, Baltimore, whatever............limosine east coast libs are limosine east coast libs regardless of their postal code. The problem with you east coast elitist liberals is that you are so provincial, that you do not realize that you are out of step with the nation. It is like the quote heard in Manhatten after Nixon's landslide victory, "I don't know HOW Nixon won. No one I knew voted for him!". Leave the city for a week or so and see what the rest of the world looks like. I, on the other hand, have traveled the world and have been to your dingy, crowded east coast cities many times. Baltimore, where you live, is one the most run down of them all. Take a field trip to Tokyo and see how industrious people live. New architecture and skyscrapers are sign of national industriousness and prosperity. That is why the World Trade Center is still a hole in the ground while they have built 13 new skyscrapers in Beijing since 9/11. East coast cities are dens of liberalism and an example of failed social policies.
Saggy, keep working on that list of Obama's "accomplishments". I am sure that you can be pretty creative on that one. All the while, while Obama fiddles, Rome burns. The nation is not made up of complete twits, as the limosine liberal believes. When they are out of work and cannot provide for their children, they will be cured of socialists for a generation. How is that unemployment rate going? Average income? Deficits? Failure in Afganistan and handing the Iranians the bomb? Great accomplishments there Saggy.

I think they should make fun of the way he changes his voice tone / speech patterns / etc, depending on who he is talking to. Ever noticed how he has one voice if speaking in San Fran to the Volvo driving, Berkeley bunch, then another more folksy voice when in West Virginia speaking to rural white people, then yet a more ethnic voice when in South Chicago speaking to black people.
SNL could have some serious fun with this.

A lot of people do that; when I worked in sales they often told us to match the style of the person we were talking to (within reason of course) because it made you seem more like them and people are more apt to trust someone they can relate to (that's the theory anyway). Since most politicians are nothing more than salesmen I’d say the same principle applies (within reason)
