Who's suffering, Obama or the unemployed?

Do you think Obama created this unemployment?

Do you think if McCain had been elected we would be experiencing lower unemployment now?

If so, why?

Don't you know that Obama wants rising unemployment!

I'm waiting for the really racist conspiracy theories to take hold with our neocon repube friends.

How is it possible to prove this "fact" since we cannot experience alternative realities? Hoover tried all of these Keynesian tricks and we went into Depression.

Sadly it *is* a fact, and we dont have to experience alternative realities in order to choose or reject them, we have mathematical models.

It's agreed that the worst is past and we're in recovery now.

Hoover.... Do you know why you're being taught to fear just the word "Keynesian"? Do you know why you're being directed AWAY from accepting, let alone learning the details of, the recovery that we ARE experiencing? Because your continued dissatisfaction, real or artificially created, is vital to the right wing's leverage of its power, which you generate. The left wing does it when they're out of power, too, but in the current drastic situation the right wing doesnt have an honest, practical solution for approaching and fixing the problem. It hasnt offered one yet. Therefore it relies on keeping you generally stoked and upset. (That's easier, too -- no commitment necessary and a guaranteed, proven result.) It doesnt encourage you to learn what's happening, why X decision was made instead of Z, the details of the choices that were/are possible, because then you might see that their opposition actually has us on the right track. And nobody wants that!

I look forward to a citation providing me with said mathematical model. I'm studying for my doctorate in a closely related field, so I think this would be helpful to understand.

Actually Keynesian "economics" is the worst enemy of the common man. It provides the "power" to the elite to rob the poor indirectly.
