The committee nominates the persons by Februrary 1st. That was a few weeks after he got into office. They reached a new low. Can't take them seriously anymore.

I actually feel bad for Obama. He knows he dosen't deserve it and he said so himself. Personally, I wouldn't accept it. There are so many people out there who actually do something and devote their life to helping people and saving their life. He got it for his visions. Well, I do too have visons.
I just couldn't accept it because it waters down the accomplishments of all the people who have received the award or SHOULD HAVE received it. It just diminishes everything. My take on this.

And no, I am not a Republican

Panter88 is on a distinguished road
The thing that gets me most is that the "public" who has no ability to award anything for anyone has so much negativity to display. The award is proof positive that the WORLD is bigger than the likes of those who seek to denounce or belittle him. THE WORLD has a greater view. The WORLD thinks higher of him than his own country.

I can say this though: IF GOD BE FOR YOU, WHO CAN BE AGAINST YOU!

Once the bell is run, you can't unring it! So I hope he enjoys his 1.4 million that will come with the prize.

A handful of people has, yes . Just like it in the poll says "what drugs the committee is on?" . And he better donates the money to some charity organization..

Obama couldn't even bring himself to mention her name, in a misguided and dangerous deference to the Iranian regime that murdered her.
Obama getting this award is just killing you isn't it? Making you just plain crazy....

Ye gods...is that ever the truth! People follow Rush and side with the Taliban,
yet believe they're patriots...how dare the Nobel Committee not choose Rush
or Glen Beck...such peace-loving souls, and always first to donate time and/or money to help the needy.

LOL! Of COURSE you're not a Republican...they have been kinda scarce around here since the last election

Now let's discuss your comment:

""The committee nominates the persons by Februrary 1st. That was a few weeks after he got into office. """

SO MANY many times it's been explained that his Nobel had NOTHING to do with American politics or how long he was in office or what he did as President....it's that myopic "America Rules the World" misconception by rightists and you that ONLY what he did in, and for, the U.S. counts....DUH!

Maybe YOU could explain why you think the Nobel Committee would judge Obama on what he did as president of the United States?????

Could you???? No other anti-Obama-ite, anti-American-ite has been able to explain that....could you???????

Hahaha...I have read the latest posts and can't help myself. The fact that our president won this award IS just killing those who are so very anti-"liberal", anti"Democrat", anti-"Obama", or perhaps anti-"anyone who can think beyond what they are told to think"...so, let's see...

Bush = shoe thrown at him

Obama = Nobel Peace Prize

Gee what a difference....

Oh, there will be a loooong wait for an answer here! What this forum needs is a game room where posters waiting for answers can chill and maybe play
cards.

More like insane. Mr. Obama has earned the right to this award if the committee thinks so. EOD
