No, you did not read the article. And you clearly didn't comprehend it, too bad. Your thread is a big fat fail.

what karfar said. you completely failed to understand what was written in the article.it is CONDEMNING the homophobic attitude in society that says that the f-word is such a severe insult when used against a straight man that it justifies murder. again, he takes pains to point out that the boys in his examples are not gay. i am amazed that you actually read the article and still drew the conclusions that you did. and by the way, the 6 letter f-word is a british sausage. the 3-letter one is a cigarette.

BS - You didn't read ANYTHING.

Fact #1: NONE of the killers mentioned in the article were gay (not one). I repeat (and quote) "None of the boys who perpetrated
these attacks identifies as gay
." They were ALL straight kids who felt it was OK to kill someone because that person had called them a "fa**ot" (ie questioned their "manhood").

Fact #2: The author is not "promoting" that behavior, he's merely commenting on the fact that society teaches young boys that it's the ultimate insult to be called a "fa**ot" - and that if someone calls you that it's "OK" to react with violence. Here's the quote: "We need to own up to the fact that our culture teaches boys that being "a man" is the most important thing in life, even if you have to kill someone to prove it."

Get a clue.

Ken

I was watching a Louis Theroux documentary on this special prison for pedophiles and they had this test to see if you're still a sick pervert. Basically, like the typical blood pressure test where they wrap that balloon thingy around your arm, they wrap it around your penis and show you pictures of children to see if your flaccid penis gets a jump-start. This should be performed on all males, if their penis flinches for sexy babes, kill them on the spot.

Why, is english your second language? Because amongst english speakers there isn't much room for "interpretation".

Someone once mentioned that for those who start threads that are proven failures & for which they can't even argue because it's so absurd, those people will always cut & run & just start up new absurd threads. This seems to be the case here. It was a drive by threading.

Reading comprehension FTL.

Nice sociological example of selective understanding based on preconceived notions though.

I loved the OP's attempt to defend their alleged reading and thinking skills by claiming "word play" "attempting to use "vis a vis" in a sentence and everything....
