Despite some of my leanings, I am very pro-homosexual. Who would have thought there's not one pro-gay mosque in America. I always hear that Islam is the religion of peace and harmony. But to tell me that not one mosque in the States is pro-gay chips at that foundation. I know plenty of pro-gay reform temples and progressive christian churches, where's the progressive muslim voice? At least there's one: Faisal Alam.

GayandRight: Not one mosque in the US accepts gay muslims!

Over/under on how quickly this thread will be hijacked by the left into a Christian bashing thread? I say 6 posts or less.

From what I understand, it is against their religion. Unlike politics, religion doesn't always aim to be politically correct.

Then, just leave the mosque alone and move on.
You can still be a pro-gay
They can still be on their own
You guys leave each other alone
Case close

Christians are far more accommodating than Muslims. Period. As much as that may chap the asses of the Liberal Left, it's the truth. While they think they have no rights in this country, they should be thanking their lucky pro-gay stars that they weren't born in Iran or any other hard-line, Islamofacist state.

Of course not.

They have a right to not accept gay members just like churches do.

I think it is wrong of the Mosque to do that but then again some Churches do the same.

I don't understand why anyone feels so compelled to be a member of a particular religion which shuns them as 'abominations'.

Conversely, a la Groucho Marx: " I would not join a group that would have me as a member"
