Almost 200 murdered yesterday in Bagdad, including dozens of children. Islamic bombers are believed to be the culprits, as usual. Is there outrage throughout the Muslim world? No, just business as usual.
Meanwhile, yesterday in Jerusalem, a mob of fire-bomb throwing Muslims was put down by (Israeli) police. And the Muslim world is having a fit.

Their value system is cockeyed. Human life is cheap. Even their own. What counts above all is the battle against the infidels.

Churchy people invite people to visit the church. If we tell them that we are not christian, they smile, and say that it's OK. We visit the church, and still don't get it. We stop visiting, and run into them at the store, and they say "Gee. we miss you at church". What is to miss ?

The main point of the thread, and the one addressed by most of the posters, is the violence of Islam. Whether this person is or isn't Obama's pastor is secondary or irrelevant.

Do we see a regular stream of violence coming from Islamic factions??? Boombs just went off in Bagdad. Americans didn't do it. Suicide bombers....Christians didn't do it. The recent terrorist attack in russia. Ft. Hood............honor killings of daughters for becoming westernized......killed for turning to Christianity ..... should I keep going??

The hell it is. If it were, it would be a blatant violation of the constitution.

Which was occasioned by 1. our illegal and immoral invasion/occupation and 2. the elimination of one of the few secular leaders in the region, a self-inflicted wound from which the West may never recover.

Are you aware that pretty much all Palestinians hate Israel, including Christians and atheists? If so, have you ever bothered to find out why?
