Narcissists are usually very authoritarian and conservative. So again, you are making very little sense. My theory is that these people are just immature and bored. It was for attention and you need to get over it.

The event was allegedly a hoax perpetrated by a couple that by all accounts shared a fascination with media attention and the limelight. This type of behavior is typical of narcissits. In an interesting study published circa 2006, many children of the sixties and seventies share a common trait: narcissism. They also tend to share a very liberal attitude. There was some evidence that this was the result of the infamous Dr Spock parenting techniques. If I remember it was Cornell.

What does releasing a weather balloon have to do with narcissism. LOL. Seriously.

I agree it was funny. Drop the charges. Issue a warning. Have CPS visit the house on intervals. Let that be the end of this mess.

Don't be silly. It cost more tax payer money to feed them in jail.

Boo hoo. Seriously. This isn't a Columbine shooting. Now that is something to cry about.

What a wonderful expample the parents are setting for those 3 young boys?

And what happens next time when his "homemade weather sounding rocket" brings down a commercial jet? Actions have consequences. He should be taught that lesson now, since he obviously didn't learn it from his parents, and subsequently isn't teaching it to his three boys either.

It's all fun & Games until someone gets hurt...

Anyone that names their child FALCON can't be all there to begin with. The family is nothing but wack-a-do's.

Public service would not cost taxpayers a thing. Although, this family might not be satisfied with that...

Balloon Boy Rescue Team Destroyed Family's Wheat Crop

TMZ is reporting that a family's livelihood may have been destroyed when rescuers trampled a wheat field while chasing the balloon thought to be carrying 6-year-old Falcon Heene. The family told TMZ that they will now have to wait another 2 years to harvest another crop.

It's unclear as of yet how much the rescue operation will cost taxpayers

Your making light of this pathetic stunt, reveals that you almost condone this kind of idiocy. Well, I guess this just goes to show that there are more Richard Heene types out there than we could have imagined.

They should be sued. They violated torts. Forget the criminal charges. That's just silly.
