It just shows you what kind of horrible person Glenn Beck is. I'm a Republican (Rockefeller/Paul/Hagel style, not Beck/Hannity/Limbaugh style) and this kind of talk is absolutely disgusting to me. Beck basically is saying that he's a selfish jerk and that the American way is to be just like him.
I volunteer at least 15 hours a week with 12-14 year olds in the inner-city as a coach, trying to make my impact on this world a positive one. Beck seems only interested in fostering hate and selfishness in this country.
If this was a nation of Beck disciples we'd all be homophobic, racist, selfish, uneducated, ignorant and greedy. Thankfully we have enough good people to offset those MORONS who actually like Beck and other hate mongers like him.
Olbermann is annoying, but at least he brings attention to positive things and will call out his own party for their mistakes. He's even named Barack Obama one of the "3 worst persons in the world". That being said, I can't watch any of that crap. I want news, insight or comedy when I am watching something on current events, I don't really get any of those from the talking-head style pundit. There's a difference between reporting and hate-mongering. Sadly, sometime in the last 15 years the cable news networks lost that and now their "news" is simply opinions and sensationalist stories like that stupid Balloon family.

Some of the comments on this thread serve as great examples of loony right-wing nut-jobbery. I'm sure these are the same people who believe that Obama isn't a U.S. citizen and that health care reform will lead to "death panels".
Paranoia can be debilitating. Seek professional help.

I can't believe this thread. It's bad enough that an entertainer like Beck would stoop to such a level, but others on this thread defend him? How deep are you into your ideology? Now advocating volunteerism is a communist takeover?
If any need any more evidence of how Beck takes something innocuous and distorts it beyond recognition (see Van Jones, for example), here it is. Wow. Just wow.
I guess the pioneers of our country who volunteered to help other pioneers raise barns and establish their homesteads were just Maoists in the making. We should burn their skeletons!
This hate-filled fear-bating has got to stop. I pity people who live everyday convinced every act of good is a conspiracy to destroy our country.
Sickening. You all should seriously question your allegiance to this man. He has your minds trapped if you defend this drivel.

I was thinking just what HuffPo said about what Beck main point is while watching that segment of Beck yesterday. As he says, Naw they couldn't be doing anything like that.
Hey thanks for allowing all liberals here to see some Beck. Isn't it something that this is what they will be discussing all day and nothing else that he said yesterday because they don't know what else, if anything, he said yesterday.
Anyway, thanks for exposing them to some more Beck.

Here's the thing, Roysoldboy. I know you are a devoted follower of Beck, but I've watched him on many occasions.
I went in thinking he had some valid points based on what others had said, but came away realize that he distorts and flat-out lies over and over and over again.
I didn't discuss him or think about him all day. I realized he is the rodeo clown he claims to be and haven't been back since.

People have been helping others for centuries, but you eat an Elephant one bite at a time. Most can't see any harm in just a little public service announcement, they aren't that bright....
The the new Obama Youth being indoctronated in schools singing the phrases of Obama, that is shades of what the Hitler Youth did too, and everyone thought that was "Cute" at the time.
Obama is an elected official, not a God, King or any other Deity, he simply is suppose to do a job for four years, get re-elected if he does a good job. Hitler did the same thing, but he removed that little detail and ended up as absolute ruler because the people let him, one bite at a time.....
"Change" isn't all what it is cracked up to be!
