there was another poll that i saw today that had him at 57% but who cares? He is the President and he isn't running for anything and it is still above 50% something Dubya wish he had in his waning days!Oh you haters!

Tell him he's not running for anything. He's still campaigning.
No big deal. Many of the recent presidents never stayed at 60+%. You act like he sunk to erm....28%. Once the newness wears off and the warm and fuzzy wears off, the numbers reflect the normal. 50 percent of America did not vote for him, so this sounds about right.
Truth be told, in these crazy times, ANYONE who is President would see this poll drop, the only difference might be that who is doing the disapproving. Hillary, McCain, and Dubya would've all had the same phenomenon. We are so polarized a nation nowadays that it is impossible to be President and universally popular at the same time.
Compare last year to the 1992 election and now to early 1994, and you'll see a lot of similarities. But look at what happened to Clinton by 1996. It's just as much premature to say Obama's poll numbers have meaning as it was to give him that Nobel Peace Prize......
Don't forget that the country was never this bitter and divided and second of all, bear in the mind the economic burdens we are facing.
