What created that which created the universe?

A really interesting observation after reading just the first few pages of the thread. The atheists (such as you karfar) are full of rancor and vitriol and the religious nuts are full of compromise and understanding.

No, it's apparently part of being the type of religious person that thinks they're required to share their "message" with people who haven't asked them to. Thank goodness that there are those who do not. I wish you'd all emulate the Wiccans and Buddhists, and not share unless asked.

I don't know why you are saying I'm annoying. You have never met me, nor I have met you.
You said yourself that your religion requires you to spread the word. If someone is not approaching YOU and asking about it, but instead you approach THEM and start talking about it, then yes you are annoying.

I don't want to "annoy" you with quoting scriptures, but you are wrong in your assessment.
How patronizing of you to assume that you know how I feel about the subject.

I can though understand with you that there are extreme religious zealots out there who will do anything to have you believe what they believe. There are also certain "normal" religions that will take their Saturday to go door knocking or whatever.
You have no business knocking on my door to "share" your religion. If I want to hear it, I'll go to your church.

Quote:
You don't have to open the door do you?
Excuse me??!! Now you're essentially saying I should hide out in my house. Oh, that's lovely. My opinion is that YOU don't have to knock on MY DOOR, do you?

It's sad that the way our society is turning that we can't even be polite to each other anymore.
It's sad that in our society people like you can't be polite enough to respect my personal space.

There is no requirement for me to be polite to someone who is intruding on my personal or private space, and attempting to talk to me about something I have no interest in hearing.

Could you point to any specific bible passage that would support that statement please?

Whatever it is it would be considered the "Higher Power".

Haha, come on admit it, that'd be pretty satisfying to do for a day.

Atheists are barraged by religion on a daily basis but so far we haven't been the one's to start any inquisitions.
