On Monday, MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow were among several people who attended an off-the-record briefing with Pres. Obama at the White House. Sources tell us other attendees at the two-and-a-half hour chat included Eugene Robinson of the Washington Post, Maureen Dowd of the New York Times, Gwen Ifill of PBS and Gloria Borger of CNN. Perhaps not surprisingly, no one from Fox News was in the room.

Speaking privately at the White House on Monday with a group of columnists and commentators, including Rachel Maddow and Keith Olbermann of MSNBC and Maureen Dowd, Frank Rich and Bob Herbert of The New York Times, President Obama himself gave vent to sentiments about the network, according to people briefed on the conversation.
I'm sure he was attempting to honey them up, trying to get them to print and air only "favorable" stories.

I wish it were a joke. Believe me it is deadly serious. And it is scary.

Add in the fact that Obama has hidden the White House list of visitors since day one tells me his lie of transparency only makes things worse.

Having a secret meeting with two of commi news networks top kooks tells me is wants to control what message gets out.

Add in the idiot wants to control Fox ( He wont win this one! ) and this meeting only tells us all that he is more of a commi then we originally thought.

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE TRANSPARENCY PROMISE??

you know what's funny? Bush did the same thing with the media and invited only radio talk show hosts. That is only CONSERVATIVE Radio talk show hosts. It wasn't a secret meeting since Maddow attended one in January but now since some in the White House have questioned the journalistic integrity of FOX it is now a "secret meeting"!
Why should Obama invite a cable "news" outlet that has done nothing but smear him even before he was elected?
FAUX is nothing but Yellow Journalism at it's best & propoganda at it's worst. Let's start with the "Obama attended a Madrassa in Indonesia BS story that CNN debunked as false to the promotion of the "tea bag parties" that FAUX promoted instead of reporting it.
They should change their slogan from "we report, you decide" to we create, you decide"
