Not sure what posting your life story has to do with my quoted post or the thread topic

Absolutely not.

IMO, this is a very silly thread to begin with

I didn't leave when the Whitehouse was occupied by the lop-eared liar LBJ, or the worst President Carter, or "is"-doesn't-mean-"is" Clinton or the blame-everyone-else Obama. Besides. there's no place in the world I want to take my family even with these ne're-do-wells in the Whitehouse. Why would I leave if Huckabee won? However, if you do want to go, I say adios and let me hold the door for you.

I would never give up my citizenship.

As one who opposes Obama on everything (just about), let me remind my fellow non-coolaid drinking liberals that Bill Clinton did not look like he could win reelection at this stage of the game either....

Surprised to read that from you. Huckabee rejects evolution:

Quote:
Huckabee contends that it doesn't matter, because he is not intending to insist that schools stop teaching evolution. But that really isn't the point.

The reason that his support for intelligent design matters is that it is ridiculous. Who wants a President of the United States who doesn't accept the basic principles of science, taking refuge instead in a load of mumbo jumbo?

The religious beliefs of a President are a matter of conscience, but intelligent design is not a religious idea. It is, deliberately, put as an alternative scientific theory. But it is, sadly, nonsense.

It is clearly vital that he or she be someone who accepts and understands scientific methods. By rejecting evolution in favour of intelligent design Huckabee illustrates that he does not reach scientific conclusions based on evidence.

This is a serious downside in a President, whatever his other qualities.
Comment Central - Times Online - WBLG: Does Huckabee's view on evolution matter? Hell, yes! (http://timesonline.typepad.com/comment/2007/12/the-momentum-en.html - broken link)
I could not, would not vote for the man.

What's sad is some people will delude themselves into thinking he's something other than exactly what you described him.

There's more to being "conservative" than flying the Jesus flag, although you'd hardly know it in this country anymore.

Being a liberal I can only encourage your efforts to promote more fiscal Conservatism.

Sing it from the mountain top!

Tell Amercians you are going to cut their social programs in order to lower taxes and/or balance the budget.

Your movement will go the way of the Dodo in the blink of an eye.
