Because it is what it takes to get competent Chief Executives for Multi National Companies. It is plain ole business.

I'm waiting for the furnace guy to arrive so I can sign a contract to install Geothermal heating.. The government "welfare" check for $15,000 credit on my tax returns this year is just to much to pass up.

Just thinking, I wonder how many of these multi millionaires have taken advantage of the geothermal credit, and getting TAX money from all of you liberals who support "environmental" credits..

You guys must love that thought..

If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, walks like a duck, and shares all the major biological characteristics of a duck. I'm guessing it is most likely a duck, even if it calls itself a goose.

Found the name, "Anthony O'Reilly", retired from Heinz as the largest stock shareholder in Heinz (28.5%) because liberals then called for CEO's to be paid by options rather than pay. Now they want the opposite.

Yes, he owned more stock then Teresa Heinz owns..

I suggest the government limit its involvement with the overpaid executives to investigating collusion, fraud, deception and grand larceny with in this group of businessmen and their colleagues. There are lying, cheating, fraudulent witches out there. It is time for a massive witch hunt.

Total just posted, Restrictions on top employee pay at seven companies will top $878,700,000 from compensation.

Note here, EMPLOYEES, not just CEO's and Board members..

Funny though, $413,300,000 of that is from GM, which is owned by the government.. (meaning they indeed have rights to limit pays)

That works out to, $5.02 million per employee..(average)

Because they can when they outsource jobs to foreign countries to reduce their expenses. If lost jobs means higher income for executives then that is okay according to modern principles of business.

Well I think a more efficient model would be for people to sign up for geothermal and they pay a portion then government picks up the tab, then they don't have to budget as much money on gas lines, electrical grid etc. We could also put people to work doing installing geothermal Maybe even take away some of the perks for foreign oil because we aren't so dependent.

I disagree with tax credits on anything. Simply a way of making things less accessible for those with little income while giving huge kickbacks to those with large incomes and skilled accountants.
