I'm not sure Rush was "punked." I thought that the act of punking is doing something to someone else - a prank, ripping someone off, ... you know, something aimed at a specific individual.
In this case, it was something that was put on a blog. It wasn't aimed at Rush (like an email sent directly to him). It was out there for the world to see, AND, it was intended as a joke!
But Rush, in his rush to discredit President Obama in any way possible, jumped all over the story.
This story has absolutely nothing to do with President Obama, and everything to do with a man consumed with his own self-importance mixed with equal parts of hatred and bigotry.
And this would be a huge non-story if it weren't for the millions of people who listen to Rush and actually believe what he says.
I guess it was hard for Rush to not see this hoax since it all sounded exactly like hussein obama.
that is no excuse. when you have millions of people listening to you, you have a responsibility to check your facts before you repeat something. even if it "sounds like the truth".
I think liberals take Rush far more seriously than conservatives. They cant stop talking about him...
I agree with you 100%. Us liberals spend way too much time talking bout Rush. I don't have one conservative friend who listens to Rush. Being a business owner, my social circles are mainly conservative. They all love most of the FNC shows. But they have never claimed to be a Rush listener. Maybe they're working during the show.

I agree but the info does sound remarkedly like hussein obama so it was easy to be fooled.
