I had a kidney stone that didn't pass easily about five years ago. I went to the ER had a CT scan and some lab work done. I'm going to estimate the E.R. room bill $3,800. However, the radiologist often bills separately depending on the hospital. I'll bet these charges were about $200. Do the ER Physicians bill separately at this hospital too? That would also make a difference in my calculation.

I'll say just over $4000.

Actually, $4 for a tylenol isnt that bad. I was just in a convenience store that had little bubble cards containing two tylenols for $1.69. You have to buy two cards, because on the first try, you'll probably lose the tylenols trying to extricate them from the impenetrable bubble card. Each tylenol costs more than a bottle of Corona. At my supermarket, they have generic tylenol for $1.69 a ton. The drug is virtually free, and you pay only for packaging, shipping. handling and stocking.

We went home with no medications. They did find something wrong, but it wasn't serious, and she's fine now.

Anyway... we got the bill today (yes, insurance will cover at least most of it).

Anybody want to guess what the total hospital bill is? Give it a shot!
Ok, so prior to insurance paying, I would say the bill was around $5000?!?
Alright Omaha...time to confess and tell us the answer!

3k?

I had food poisoning once and I thought i was having a heartattack so i called for ambulance. Can you believe they charged me 750 bucks for a ride to the hospital which is less than a mile away? From now on I drive myself even if Im dying.
