Glad Obama helped with credit card rates....
too bad now those of us with perfect credit have to pay more.
Got Perfect Credit? You Could Be Charged For It! - wcbstv.com
Quote:
The banks are starting to charge fees to reliable customers in response to a slew of new credit card industry regulations that will limit when banks can hike interest rates. Cardholders who get a new annual fee notice in the mail will be in a no-win situation.
"They can either pay that fee or they can close the account, and if they have had the account for a while and they close it, they are potentially going to hurt their credit card score," said Woolsey.

Another example as to Democrats writing legislation that
Liberals celebrated
Conservatives stated was stupid because other fees would go up
Liberals stated conservatives were wrong
And the final outcome is.. Drumrolll
Conservatives were right again..

And those with lower incomes will see a higher percentage of their income eaten up with "fees" or simply outright find it impossible to get new credit.

Please link these fees you made up. As far as someone with bad credit not being able to get a credit card, that's a good thing.

Are you responding to the very same thread which pertains to FEES ?
Yet now, her good credit habits could cost her. Earlier this month Bank of America started notifying customers like Mullen-Kress that they will be charged a new annual fee of $29 to $99.
The banks are starting to charge fees
"They can either pay that fee or they can close the account, and if they have had the account for a while and they close it, they are potentially going to hurt their credit card score," said Woolsey.
Next time why dont I just send someone to read the story to you?

You don't have to quote the story to me. No place in that story does it say anything about low income people paying that fee. That was you that claimed that, I asked for a link to show it would affect low income people, you couldn't do it.
Low income people have been paying high interest rates and fees to pay for this practice.

BoA is first trying to get more clients by giving out so many points that you will get a $ 100 gift card...I asked for the small print and I had to wait 20 min. before they could find it. Than I saw that the double points that are promissed for later on ...of course were only for a few months and from what I learned from other accounts that I have we have to spend an amount on our debit card or pay $ 17.- in monthly fee! Which is a yearly $ 204.- fee if you add it up.

So you think low income individuals are exempt from new credit card fees because they already pay other fees? Wrong, they will pay new fees, ON TOP OF previous fees they paid, but dont forget to ignore this truth in your response.
