"The so-called “Health Choices Commissioner” will be the closest the United States has come to having an absolute ruler since King George III."

http://blog.heritage.org/2009/07/29/...-care-choices/

Title I, Subtitle E, Sections 141-143, on pages 41-48 – it turns out that the Health Choices Commissioner’s job is, essentially, to make your health choices for you.

It's just another means to an end - a public option for everyone. They won't rest until they get it. Obama said so himself, didn't he "even if we have to do it gradually."

Nice..Executive branch person. Doesn't have to answer to Congress and their job is defined as whatever the President says it is.

FWIW..our pay czar "advisor" does have the authority to set and mandate salaries on the banks.
So all you naysayers that think czars have no powers..go take a look at what the Pay Czar is doing with his newfound "authority".

Also go look at how Congress is starting to feel with all these "advisors" who have power and authority OUTSIDE of the Legislative branch. Even the Dems in Congress are starting to get nervous over these "advisors".

You got that the proposed position was created by CONGRESS, didn't you?

Nope, no "czar."

From the latest House bill:
SEC. 241. HEALTH CHOICES ADMINISTRATION; HEALTH CHOICES COMMISSIONER.
(a) IN GENERAL.—There is hereby established, as an independent agency in the executive branch of the Government, a Health Choices Administration (in this division referred to as the ‘‘Administration’’).

(b) COMMISSIONER.—
(1) IN GENERAL.—The Administration shall be headed by a Health Choices Commissioner (in this division referred to as the ‘‘Commissioner’’) who shall be appointed by the President, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate.
Section 242 lists the duties of the Commissioner, if you're interested.

Aaaah. not exactly that tyrant would be the 12$ an hour clerk at the Health Insurance company who made me sell my house to pay for the "experimental" treatment my late wifes doctor said she needed.

And don't forget to look under your bed for the bogey-man, I heard Obama sent him to YOUR house.

That's very funny.
