So it's because of abnormal sex acts? So then you're completely against oral sex, anal sex, sex toys, Viagra, and all contraceptives because they make sex unnatural, right?
On a related note, how do you feel about people born with both sets of genitals? Are they perverse and abnormal if their parents choose the wrong way?
I agree it is unnatural to be celibate because of your religion. But religion is man made and is full of dogma.
So, you are not religious and don't subscribe to the Bible?

Whether or not it exists in the animal kingdom or not, infanticide and cannibalism exists in the animal kingdom as well and is considered normal - if a human kills their infant they're carted off to prison. So if you want to use the animal kingdom as a measure for what should be right or wrong in human beings you need to use another analogy.
We have morally evolved from eating our own children and protect life, liberty, and property.
We have also recognized that restraining consensual adults is an attack on liberty. How does two gays affect your liberty?
My goodness. So, there is no other way to teach children acceptance of others? Amazing.
Did I say that? No I didn't.
The OP claims he doesn't hate homosexuals, yet hates the act of homosexuality. If he does not hate them, then what problem would he have teaching our children acceptance and kindness to those who may be different (no matter what forum the lesson takes place in)?
It's really a silly thing to complain about. Kids are going to learn about homosexuality one way or another, but it's like learning how babies are born: Kids will learn about sexuality from their friends (most likely), reading on their own (not likely), their parents (least likely), or from the schools. I think it's essential for schools to teach kids about basic sexuality as part of a health curriculum. We can't rely on all parents to be knowledgeable about an important topic like this, and some will simply refuse to talk about it with their children.

What would be the purpose of teaching a kid to accept an abnormal sex act as a valid lifestyle alternative?
Teach the kid the correct normal way. Let them learn on their own through their life if they want to accept the homosexual sex act as valid or not. Teach the kid to be tolerant of other peoples views and preferences. And although it may not be your belief that it's normal for someone else...that's just the way the world is.
The problem is that too many homosexuals self identify with their sexuality before identifying as an INDIVIDUAL. Their sexual orientation DEFINES who they are.
To the OP: Homosexuality is not a "lifestyle", in case you weren't aware. It's correctly referred to as a sexual orientation. You may want to educate yourself about human sexuality someday.
This is a wonderful textbook, if you're ever interested in learning about it:

Because we have morally evolved from eating our children what is wrong with discouraging homosexuality?
My liberty is constrained when I see offensive material on television, in public, and in congress with special legislation to allow gays to marry or protect them based on how they like to have sex.
What two consenting adults do behind closed doors is their own private business, there's no reason to shout about how gay you are in public.

I totally agree with this. As I said above, I got some very inaccurate information about the mechanics of sex as a kid.
And here's another thing--kids are sexual, and no, not in a creepy Nambla way, but rather in the sense that they will explore their own bodies. I'll come right out and say it, because it isn't shameful, I started masturbating in grade school. Because I didn't know what I was doing, I did feel kind of ashamed. Now of course different parents are going to deal with this differently, but believe me, most kids are already playing happy hands with themselves to whatever extent.
