The woman is incapable of telling the truth. One does not rise to the top of congress by being an honest person. I am not surprised in the least that she would break her word.

PELOSI: Absolutely. Without question.
Being a reader of some experience in the English language, I am able to recognize that Speaker Pelosi is only affriming here her support for a particular measure. What was that measure? Where is it? What did it say? Was it ever introduced? Was it ever adopted, with or without her support?

When will you stop the lying?

1 might ask when will our elected reps start telling the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. I am sorry but I do consider misrepresenting the facts as lieing also. But hey thats what politicians do fo a living.

Playing semantics is your biggest clue the person is untrustworthy... we all know what it meant and we all KNOW why she is doing what she is doing... The Dems have seen the future and it is NOT pretty... the elections was bad news for them (VERY bad news) and that was the major reason Obama "campaigned" for those two (to prevent the bad news)... he knew what it meant just like everybody else knew... So she lied... now the reason is why? Knowing that the elections are only the BEGINNING of bad news for dems, they have to act FAST, real fast before more bad news comes in and STOPS the whole thing dead in its tracks (mostly the "public option")... she has to keep the best prospect of passing the legislation before it turns bad and guess what, it is turning bad now... so they got to go and vote before everyone says "no" to it... here I would give a metaphorical example....

Pelosi is the Boeing activities liason and found out that Boeing lost a major contract with an airline (and would be firing tons of people next week but nobody but she knows it)... Pelosi REALLY wants to have a party and decides before people find out about getting fired, she tells them instead of having a party a month from now, its tomorrow.... cause she knows next month, nobody would want to party... she has to move quick cause she really wants to party...

So yes, she lied and even with the liberals trying to protect her with semantics, nobody is fooled... she lied, like most politicians lie when it is better for them...

No, seeing people go off on rambling and incoherent tirades is an even bigger clue. By the way, where is this measure that TWS was talking about?

TWS: Madam Speaker, do you support the measure to put the final House bill online for 72 hours before it's voted on at the very end?
PELOSI: Absolutely. Without question.

This woman does not know the meaning of integrity, bipartisanship, civility, honesty or the truth.

Quote:
Pelosi November 8, 2006:

“The American people voted for a New Direction to restore civility and bipartisanship in Washington, D.C. Democrats promise to work together in a bipartisan way for all Americans. The American people voted to restore integrity and honesty in Washington, D.C. And the Democrats intend to lead the most honest, most open, and most ethical Congress in history."
Quote:
Pelosi Jan 4, 2007:

"And the American people told us they expected us to work together for fiscal responsibility, with the highest ethical standards and with civility and bipartisanship.

After years of historic deficits, this 110th Congress will commit itself to a higher standard: pay as you go, no new deficit spending. Our new America will provide unlimited opportunity for future generations, not burden them with mountains of debt.

In order to achieve our new America for the 21st Century, we must return this House to the American people. So our first order of business is passing the toughest congressional ethics reform in history. This new Congress doesn't have two years or 200 days.

Let us join together in the first 100 hours to make this Congress the most honest and open Congress in history - 100 hours.

This openness requires respect for every voice in the Congress. As Thomas Jefferson said, 'Every difference of opinion is not a difference of principle.' My colleagues elected me to be Speaker of the House -- the entire House. Respectful of the vision of our Founders, the expectations of our people, and the great challenges that we face, we have an obligation to reach beyond partisanship to work for all Americans.

Let us all stand together to move our country forward, seeking common ground for the common good.
