"The House of Representatives have 52 Blue Dog Democrats. The House needs 218 votes to pass a bill. That means at least 10 of those Blue Dogs have to vote for the Public Option. Considering the 2010 elections are next year and those Blue Dogs need to win in conservative districts to remain in office, it's highly unlikely 10 of them would support it. The majority of people living in these conservative districts are opposed to the Public Option."
