The right wing nutjobs have their panties in a bunch. In the various forums I've visited since last night's health care vote, Rep. Cao - the lone Republican who voted for the bill - is being vilified as a traitor. Some comments border on racist attacks against Cao. The undercurrent seems to be that non-white Republicans like Cao are not to be trusted to toe the right wing party line. Are we going to see mass purgings of non-white Republicans in the near future? Stay tuned.

Hopefully we will see a mass purge of RINOs who run on the Republican ticket tricking voters into thinking they are a conservative when they are are sneeky underhanded left winger. Ethnicity is a non-issue even if left wingers use one of their endless supplies of race cards!

That's assuming you can define the word "conservative".

In this particular vote, it seems to me that Rep. Cao did what we would like to see our elected officials do more often - he voted in accordance with the wishes of the people he represents.

Which would be mostly Democrats. He took an oath to uphold the values of the Republican party but votes like a Democrat. Many of our representives are snakes-in-the-grass, changing parties because they have a better chance to get elected when they really do not support the party they use.

If he had not voted, would the bill have passed?

So lets a jump on the RINO, this is why the GOP won't win anything next year

Cao represents a very liberal district

If Cao loses reelection it will be merely because he has a R next to his name instead of a D.

Cao's vote made it a bipartisan bill.

It's because of the RINOs that Republican have been losing! Most conservatives will not vote for a RINO.
